Try searching for Gilgamesh manga. You won't be able to find confirmation that it even existed.
All sources come back to wikipedia which doesn't even mention the manga on its supposed creators page. Searching for manga on diferent anime related websites gives no results. No website even has the data on when did its run end. However, we somehow know it's got 6 volumes.

It's a shame, really. I wanted to read it, but I can't even confirm its existance. Would any good soul maybe have a tip on this mysterious work?

Not sure if it's true or not but isn't Gilgamesh based on book?
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

If you're talking about anime, no.

If you're talking about The Epic of Gilgamesh, yes, it exists. However, it's unrelated to the anime save for the name.

I've found the manga, but it's nothing like the anime. I'd hesitate to say that it's even an adaptation at all if it weren't for the fact that the main characters have the same names. Granted, I'm only about halfway done with the show, so it may resemble the manga later on, but the manga seems to be about aliens that invade earth and unleash superpowered clones upon humanity. Kiyoko gains powers because she is impregnated by one of the aliens (known as Gilgamesh). It has a significantly more space sci-fi vibe than Gilgamesh's more dystopic one. There's only a few chapters of the Gilgamesh manga available, but honestly it's a completely different thing. I would honestly say that MAL shouldn't even call it an adaptation. As far as I can tell, the story (and even the premise) are completely different. The only thing the series share are the names of the main characters. As far as I'm aware, the Countess and her anti-Gilgamesh team isn't even a thing in the manga. Here's a link to the manga. Only 6 chapters have been translated so far. http://m.mangahere.co/manga/gilgamesh/

Also, sorry if the MAL forums have any rules about necroposting or posting links that I broke. I haven't used these forums before; I just wanted to comment on how I don't think you can necessarily consider this an adaptation of the Gilgamesh manga since it's almost 100% different.

well manga is from 80's. It seems they only share the same name and a few ideas.

Thanks for this!
I never thought this would get resolved. I'll probably check it out regardless, if only because it eluded me for such a long time.
