Guilds Info
A fantasy, filled with mages and magic artifacts, the world of Fairy Tail, is filled with power spells and the people who use them, known as Mages. Mages can run around, a freelance magic users, but, for the most part, mages are members of magic groups known as Guilds.
Throughout the course of the series, that this forum is based off of, a variety of guilds have been shown. Each of these guilds has their own set of codes and procedures, and they also offer various jobs that suit each mage and gives you money and experience. Each mage, of the guild, is ranked by their Master. There are five ranks of mages: Apprentice, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and S-Rank, with S-Rank being the highest and the rarest.
Most guilds, members, are B-Rank or A-Rank. S-Rank are the members, that can replace the Guild Master, and C-Rank are either untested mages, or mages that don't go on missions. Apprentice mages, are usually freelance mages, or young children learning how to do magic.
The guilds are regulated by the Mage's Council, which is run by the Ten Holy Great Mages. Only a few guilds are completely recognized by the Council, others are known by them, and others are referred to as Dark Guilds, by the Council. There are also other guilds, that are not mage guilds, that are recognized by the Council.
Rules for Creating Guilds
1) All Guilds must have a title, a symbol, and a master, along with a brief history and the first character created for it. The symbol can be a description, and doesn't have to be a picture. The symbol, is tattooed on every member, once they join.
2) All Guilds have to have a hometown, or be near a town, unless they are classified as a roaming guild.
3) A roaming guild is a guild with a master, and either two RPing members or 1 RPing member and 3 NPCs, a title, and a symbol, but no hometown or no building to house their group.
4) A guild has to do missions, that are considered moral/good, and helpful to the world. A Dark Guild can do whatever they wish, usually involving death and destruction. They must also separate S-Rank missions, from lower ranked members. An S-Rank mission can only be taken on by an S-Rank mage or a group that includes a S-Rank mage.
5) A Dark Guild has to be approved by moderators, before even being created. A Dark Guild has to commit some major offense, against the Magic Council's rules, usually the death of a civilian. Being a mage guild, that focuses on Mercenary missions, can also get you classified as a Dark Guild
6) A normal guild, can be created, as long as they follow all rules written above.
