| I think there is around 6 or so volumes out (correct me if I'm wrong), so there's definatly enough material for a second season. It's all up to the animation studio if they want to do a sequel...they usually base this off wether the first season was sucsessful. I know Kannagi is extremely popular in Japan right now, so I wouldn't season no reason for a second. What I don't believe is that if there is a sequel, it probably wont be confirmed until we are well into next year...meaning airing would be around summer or sometime after that. These are all just assumptions, really. I see Kannagi goes in the same direction as Fullmetal Alchemist did...air the first season, continue the manga, lose faith in fans hoping for a second season, then BAM! FMA2. Maybe some saw it coming more than I did, but that's just me. This is all in the realm of possibility. What I was afraid of was that Kannagi's creator (her name is on the tip of my tounge...Eri something..) unexpectedly fell in ill and hospitalized with a slim chance of recovery a little more than over a month ago. Although she's fine now, if she hadn't recovered...no more Kannagi! I'd be a very sad and depressed fan :( |

| There's enough material for a second season right now really, if they pad out a few chapters and do a filler like they did with season 1. The problem is that the last volume and a bit has been building a storyline up and the last chapter was quite a cliffhanger in a way. So until this arc gets resolved you wont be seeing a second season period unless it's all anime original material. Though if they do that they should throw in Zange/Hakua's back story in a few episodes... |
| I hope so; I haven't read the manga yet but the anime still leaves so much unclear or unexplained. We still don't know Zange/Hakua's story, and more about Nagi... How things will work out with |

It sounds like the Kannagi manga will return when Takenashi returns after a year of recovery from her operation. So that's very good news. |

| I doubt there will be one, after the shitstorm that happened when the mangaka added a "previous boyfriend" to Nagi's storyline and drew a canon picture of her being pregnant the otaku ripped apart their manga and stopped buying it. Unless she can pull something out that fixes the problem with the fan base, which is unlikely since otaku don't forgive and forget that easily, the hopes for a second season are dead in the water. |
