Pretty good special indeed. Nothing fancy, but still better than previous one.

I am happy for Goemon. He was a star this time finally hitting jackpot.

Just as drearily formulaic and just as awful as the TV specials had been for the previous several years, and with some pretty bad art in places to boot.

Lupin allowing himself to be captured and the jailbreak sequence were decently amusing, though.

This was another pretty neat 2010s special! What bothered me is that the side character designs especially female character designs feels like they came out of Detective Conan show.. really looked off tbh. And it started straight with a somewhat murder mystery element. I guess they really tried to sell to DC fans who will eventually receive DC movie with these characters. Still I am liking these newer special at least not using same character designs ulike 2000s special were doing.

Speaking of the mystery elements, I felt this special gave me closest felt to the earlier 90s Dezaki Lupin special were there was something mystery elements that could make standout each other. Some might find these fancy but I don't get much from it.

While I felt the story was weak but the great pacing/comedy and how cool the two story interconnected made it standout for me. The villain were almost pure joke but I really liked how amusing they were. Oh and I really think Lisa makes the one of the most weakest heroine in any Lupin special imo (and also one of better heroine).

I liked this one. The character design was different again, and it felt like a "bridge" between the original style and the newest ones from Part IV&V. Lisa was a bit too naive for my taste, but she still felt like a somewhat compelling character. It actually moved me when she finally felt free to break down and cried about her grandfather's death while saying that "everything was fine just a while ago." I can't even imagine the pain of a sudden loss like this. I also liked a bit the scene in which Lupin finally told her who he was, and the thing she almost had going with Jigen. Jigen also had some other cool scenes like when he stopped that tank with his Magnum.

Goemon's side of the story felt really disconnected at first, but it soon became clear that it had something to do with it all. And I love the answer Goemon found, about using his sword to protect what's precious to him. It was weird to see him trying to cast his Zantetsuken aside. And I'm glad he sliced that satellite, that weapon was too powerful. lol Zenigata was great too, standing up for Lupin since there was no way he was a cold-blooded murderer. Then Fujiko, who didn't have much screen time, was working with the bad guy from the start this time. But it was glorious when she came back into scene by the end, providing some funny scenes. I just didn't like that she took out her frustration of the treasure being pretty much just a message on Lupin. It wasn't his fault, and it was a very good message. xD

So it all was for a carpe diem treasure...I get you Fujiko.I liked how everyone had a crush there except Lupin😅But Lisa is still a naive peace of sh*t who only listens to what others say.I am dissapointed in Jigen ,he has a better taste in love than this🙄I loved Zeni's scenes he really shone there. But what about the Walther P of Lupin!?I know it doesn't matter since he throw ot away in the island of assassins but despite it he has it now but still. And wth was it with the art style?Lupin really looks like a ...Idk what but not like a Lupin used to.

Another page is another regular Lupin III fIlm, without surprises and following a common pattern!!!

This time Lupin has to discover a treasure, Marco Polo treasure, has to save a young girl, and discover a mystery that will make him walk through several countries, always in company of Jigen, with the help of Fujiko and Goemon

The final is turn in the events with a "little" surprise!

For me the best of the film was the Goemon's almost romantic relationship, and the best scene the bath scene, hilarious!

5/10
