It was excellent getting even more insight on the past of Emiya Kiritsugu and Natalia.

Seeing the two of them on this "Resident Evil" type mission was just pure fan-service for me. Clearly their was a focus on the "detail", lol. Their coordination, tactics and action was a pleasure to experience.

I really thought that Natalia pulled out Kiritsugu's origin bullets from his bag at the end there before she got swallowed, but it was actually a flare gun (epic either way). Also her Succubus powers are amazing, would be cool to see an OVA on this.

Kiritsugu's decision at the end to lie to Natalia was respect-worthy. I also got a bit sentimental when he heard Shirley's voice in his head.

Overall, I liked the entire concept, and more screen-time for one of my favourite aspects of F/Z, so this gets a nice 8/10 from me.

I like how it foreshadows Kiritsugu's change, like how he can lie without Natalia picking it up for example.

It reminds me of Resident Evil too.
Desolate village, zombiefied villagers, strange creatures and sick experiments. Even boss battle was like shoot-the-guy-until-he-shows-his-weak-spot. Hmm, maybe author was playing RE4 while writing this?

I got a Resident Evil 4 vibe while reading jaja. It was great.
I think this is fanservice, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but it was not that much of awesome.

Yeah, I got sentimental with the Shirley's dialog... I remembered him as a kid and then when he died... =(

I would have been awesome to have an OVA of this, but that never happened.

In the illustrations, Kiritsugu looks older than I pictured him to be in this story. He looks like... the regular Kiritsugu jaja. Oh well.
