Are they still updating the LN or another season isn't a possibility at the anime?
Are they making the anime based on the manga or LN?

The LN is the original source. Volume 11 of the LN was just released last December 10.

A second season for the anime is high but not a guarantee. There's still some material in the LN that can be covered and the sales of the BD and LN have been spectacular. Still, the final decision to do so lies in the production company so don't think we'll get another season for at least a year or two.

I got a question too, which one do i start with? A lot of the fandom says the novels would be better.

Would the manga version be kinda above the anime?

In my opinion the best way to go is the light novels. You get far more details than the anime, it goes a lot further in the story as of right now amd you get to read the thoughts of the characters sometimes. I find this is really important because it gives you a much better view into some of the characters like Suguha.

With regards to anime versus the manga, the anime is better. The manga skips over almost all of the side content, including almost two volumes of the light novel. Plus the animation in the anime is quite good and the art in the manga is of a quality that many readers seem not to like.
