This should be enough to prove it.

So what do you think of that?

My interest in this anime just plummeted...
I hope that that these GIFs are not representative of the series. The animations look great, but we honestly have enough fanservice trash on air as it is.

Where cares if it is ecchi? If the anime is good why let something little like a transformation sequence allow it to be labeled as bad.

I hope that's all they keep it to.
Whenever breast physics are so clearly animated, I can only think of Highschool of the Dead, which is everything I hate in anime.
Keep it classy Shaft. KyoAni's got the right idea with the characters in different non-perverted costumes (i.e. different normal day clothes).
Looks like this anime does have a lot of energy and does have a touch of Mawaru Penguindrum.

My kind of fanservice = Homura in casual clothes going shopping for groceries

That's MAL for you, a drop of ecchi and everyone wants to either drop it or go helll yeah and take on the series, there is no middle ground here.

Asuka's is a darling as well, love her hair, it's a perfect shade of green.

Well Omniknight you are correct. I just would like to hope for the best for the time being. Magic girls series though usually tend towards the transformation sequence which it why I can hope along those lines. Shaft does some weird things though from time to time so is just a crap shoot.

Normally I'd be all crusading on the anti-fanservice wagon, but recently I saw a little show called Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo, which despite some fanservice and the most disgusting transformation sequences I've seen in a Magical Girl show, turned out to be really good.

I have no problem against that. I do like reading the IMOs though.

Nah, people are just fed up. The problem can something be done about it? No so getting fed up on it is a loss of time. Of course drop is fine but a look should be done and at most 1 episode should be seen if the ecchi is too much for one.

Well the Bakemonogatari series had ecchi yet people still liked it.

Sadly the bandwagon will never stop once you get on it so it's best not to be on it too long. I tend to bitch at service too you know but I let it go. In fact I tend to not to that anymore except to vent off a little.

Yea, like I said with Okusama, if a show's good I can look past the ecchiness. Popotan is another anime that... while filled with unappealing fanservice, snared me with it's likable characters and interesting (albeit confusing) plot.

Really the ecchiness is the least of my concerns with this show.

It seems like a typical mahou shoujo transformation to me. At least it didn't emphasize her "package" too much. xDD

Well usually in transformation they tend to avoid having too much contours of the body and at best something along the sailor moon lines but this one tends to detail them so I wonder of that.

Maybe I just happen to watch the transformation of Kore wa zombie which is more ecchi than this. xDD

I'm sure those gifs you provided wont even reach 5 seconds for that scene which wouldn't matter that much to see if it's ecchi. xDD

Yeah that too is a concern the reaction is like that why? Is it cause she really has that kick or it's just the effect of the transformation upon her. The flow must be shown but unless the episode is shown before and after that transformation there is no way to know how the feel goes. So far I find it eros as from the PV itself.

The only clue we have on what the show is about is these 7 vids that are interpretations of the directors. Things like the mass driver, guitars, rockets, monsters, magical girls are not even part of the story instead part of the director's pov of the theme given to them. If we assume the genre its ecchi, I see the 3 girls will have this sort of big dream but will have to face some f*ck (literally) in the process to achieve it. Then again, we don't have a single clue on what format this show will be.

True that a alternate world may give out to what a real world that is more normal gives. I agree with you but remains to see.

I also changed the title to suggestive too cause to me it's a proof till I see it otherwise of suggestive mild signs. Being in the industry a lot and with clubs of anime. This is quite a obvious one but till I see the whole context I cannot be sure but rather highly raising an eyebrow towards the series for now in terms whether it's ecchi or only transformations are like that.

I have to say this for fights and the way they show kind of Madoka style in terms of the many bows in one scene of the PV.

BTW I never really ranted of this but in Madoka every freaking time in the OP I saw Madoka's ass I was like O_o as in strange to see like that.

Eventually I took a used to it but only after printing a poster of it and seeing a lot.

All of the previews are done by different people right? I am the very first person to focus on singular frames so I am happy that the OP is doing just that, still I can't help but wonder if they are specifically looking for things that aren't really there. For one thing, this transformation sequence is no where near as bad as Nanoha which was just blatant nudity of a ten year old, and that show didn't really have fan service as a theme. As for the character design, I get a mix of Madoka and Mami. Mass bow and arrows seem to just be stealing those 2 powers, putting them together and coloring them green. Her bow looks quite similar to Madoka's if you remove the rose, and her character design in those frames looks very close to Mami in proportions. I never considered Mami to be a fan service character despite having significantly more filled out breasts than the rest of the cast. If that bothers you, then go back to the first artwork released and notice that the breast size in this PV are at least 2 cup sizes larger than the original artwork so I'm going to guess they will use the previous art as they stated all of the PVs are done by different people. Lastly, about the physics... boobs do tend to bounce when a person runs xD

Agree and I was thinking could this be boring massively from Nanoha?

I did not see it but I hear it's highly appraised.

I predicted stuff like this would happen in the other Prism Nana thread. Let's take 6 frames and loop them slowly and use that to make sweeping conclusions about the show. Is it so hard to just wait for the fucking thing to come out? Believe me, if it is fanservicey garbage, then I'll call it like I see it, but on the strength of THIS?

For god's sake, just be patient.

No this is not borrowing from Nanoha, these characters are older and the style is more artsy. Nanoha is a more male targetted magical girl show with the emphasis on the battles instead of the drama or the art like Madoka was and what this looks to be (not to mention every other Shaft show lol). From everything I have seen, I'm thinking this show is an apology by Shaft for Madoka. Using the Madoka plot, powers, and other Shafty things but remove the characters killing each other. I expect this to be a happier Madoka clone. (Of course a happier Madoka clone is still really sad right? :P)

I'm not sure "apology" is the right word. Why would they want to apologize for making the best anime in 2011?

Wait, are you guys talking about the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise?

I've seen all three of the series and I believe there's no ecchi in it at all. It's more like an action packed series and I can't even remember if there was a beach episode at from any of the seasons.

Pretty much this.

There's no romance in Nanoha at all or fan-service. What there is though is some emotional factors in all three seasons that takes develop more in later episodes. I personally found the series quite appealing as it takes on a more action based approach rather than the traditional magical girl style. Will Prism Nana follow the theme?

Who knows but I have faith in Shaft.

Shaft told all the fans before the show started Madoka would be happy and the first 2 episodes were still relatively happy. The first time the Kalafina ED played after episode 3. The apology is for the significant trolling that they did before it aired.

Edit:

Stark700- I brought up Nanoha as a reference to the transformation scene in that show being blatant and unobscured nudity. This transformation sequence in the Prism PV is nowhere near that bad. Nanoha managed to have a completely nude tranformation scene and not have fanservice in the show.

Oh, OK. I see what you mean. I did say elsewhere that I felt Shaft hid Madoka's true nature a little too well, but I still think it had a positive effect on my enjoyment. That first time you realize it isn't what it seems is more powerful if you have no clue it's coming.

Errrm...

- Loli in bra and panties
- Loli fully naked
Plus the movie showed her transformation scene with nipples.

More.

Panty shot.

Fanservice has always been prominent in the Nanoha series, which is why its such a major pedobait.

I used to think the same thing, before I started watching a lot of them.

Many of them are made specifically with kids in mind, so they don't show anything objectionable.

Contrasting Lyrical Nanoha's transformation is the one from Heartcatch Precure, which is the most tasteful I've ever seen.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBNz0HnhIkQ

Heck, the Precure franchise makes regular use of bicycle shorts underneath skirts. And to all Sailor Moon fans, those aren't undergarments beneath the Senshi's skirts. The whole thing is a leotard.
