| The first episode of this series completely ignores the series plot and this worlds rules and laws,which in the end breaks the balance of the story that ends up being just gibberish. we know one thing for sure:the secret are a reaction to the existance of the scub.this is the rule set by the writter.a story teller always creates such rules to create a solid ground upon which he will build the plot and story. Correct me if im wrong but when the secret in episode 1 appears it chooses to go and kill everything else except the scub coral.the secret attacks the human settlements on the island completely decimating the infastructure and the population of the island.Then it starts fighting with the armies and the ifos.And all this time im wondering:why does it kill everything else except the scub coral???why doesnt it simply accelarate towards the scub and go kaboom? thats the main reason why when they finally talk with the dang secret all people find it difficult to believe that the secret exist to erase the scub.Cause the secrets will attack anything on sight except the scubs! the only reason i can think of for this weird problem in the script is: that the writter is not a professional.i personally believe that someone who has finished highschool knows the basic rules of how you would write an essay.So im pretty sure that aikawa shou simply made up quickly the plot and then realised that the rules of his story(which are the storys foundations) were destroying his plot!!!If the secret indeed react to the scub then Ao would have died when the secret that appeared over the island instead of shooting around,it would have instantly attacked the scub and the island would dematerialise from the following fuse explosion...meaning that everyone on the island would die SO Ao,Naru and all the other terrible characters in this story wouldnt survive episode 1!!!!!why didnt the script writter do something about this?why did he allow this script to become an anime without correcting this major flaw which comfuses the viewer and makes him/her question the common sense of the script writter. of course aikawa shou is a known script writter in japan so im wondering what the hell happened here!Basicly the story cant stand on its own.The plot doesnt make sense!!!and in the ending you also have to deal with a paradox since time travel is involved!!!i can deal with the paradox cause i guess he thought that that would add depth to the story. so storywise this anime is a complete fail worthy of referance in academic books so that future writters will avoid this kind of disaster. another extremely painfull thing for me in this anime is the characters!they all fail!!!i dont plan to get too much in depth so i'll just mention 2 characters that are completely stupid! The boss of blue generation and his daughter!the otaku girl and naru is also terrible but lets look at the father and daughter. fleur says that she hates her father because when she and her mother had an accident and only one of them could be saved ,he choose to save his child. SERIOUSLY???COME ON!!!i mean of course he would choose his daughter!and she should spend the rest of her life to make up for that!!!that man sacrifised the woman he loved for his daughters life!and his daughter hates him for that?JUST IMAGINE for a second what would happen if he choose to save his wife!do you have any idea what a woman would do to her husband if he ever did such a stupid mistake? so as far as fleur is concerned,what little depth her character had gets destroyed. now the fun part!Her father when he made the deal with the secret he stated as his last will:that all of his assets and authority will be transfared to his daughter cause he took everything from her and he at least wanted to leave behind a future for her.DAFUQ?This guy actually thinks that his daughter is right in hating him?what is wrong with Aikawa shou?actually what is wrong with the entire production team?didnt they read this script before making the anime? A normal character and especially a manipulative super manager of such a powerfull company is the kind of person that would be in really bad terms with his daughter because she hates him for a stupid reason!he wouldnt allow such an immature girl to pilot a war machine like those ifos.based on common sense always...and yeah i know that most anime lack common sense but there are some things that you just cant accept if there isnt a logical explanation!so that guy would probably slap the hell out of his daughter for being such a little bitchy princess. now i need to ask all of you in this section of the forum.i became enraged by these terrible flaws while watching this anime,mainly because i had so many question marks in my head cause the story was so messed up,and in the end i didnt really enjoy this.i hate that cause im a fan of eureka 7.And i had high expectations from eureka 7 ao.the one thing i hated the most is the stupid sky shot in the credits!apparently the production team thought that it wasnt nessesary to show a shot of eureka and renton walking down a beach or making out in the sunset or something.no no no no no.they just end the story with a stupid sky shot!Am i overreacting?am i overthinking this?please tell me!cause lately lots of anime have terrible scripts!and the thing that i cant stand is that i see that somehow people like them and nobodys complaining about their flaws.i would support eureka 7 ao as good anime from the point of design and graphics and sound.but generally its a 5/10 anime.the story doesnt make sense and it cancels itself and the characters are weak.nothing compared to the eureka 7 series which has its own flaws but its generally a nice story with strong characters. i realise in the end that the industry has become completely corrupted (like everything else in the the world lol) and it would seem that they dont give a dang about what they sell.they just make anime as fast as they can and then they advertise them as much as they can to get the best possible profit as fast as possible.they dont really care if people will buy this anime a few years later.they just care about the money they will make from models and figures and the 3 month period(or whatever) that the show will be live in tv!!! you want an example of the opposite side?look at gundam unicorn!they take their time to create great anime. so im asking...am i overreacting?cause im as otaku as everybody else is and i will support a series that i like even if its not the best in the world.but there are limits to how much bullsh@t i can take.are my standards and my expectations to high?ive watched so many masterpieces since the 80s.and im wondering:why did they butcher eureka 7 with this terrible sequel? what are your thoughts on this?pesonaly i think that this sequel is a complete fail and that no production studio that respects itself would ever go ahead and make this script an anime.especially since the previous series was so successful. |

| First thing that comes to my mind is - Dewey wins, flawless victory. This is a complete fail, from my point of view. Washy characters, incoherent plot, meaningless actions. I can go on for a long time. First E7 was an anime show, this one is a business project, an end user product. Nothing else. This show was watched by many, only because of "Eureka 7" in the name and big hope that "the next episode will be the beginning of real show". Anyway now we all can relax - everything is over and everyone will make a decision to accept this as a part of E7 universe or "this never happened". I prefer the second option. And it does not matter if we go on with this discussion. Nobody cares. |
