Yeah I've read all of them, and am a huge fan. I started reading them when I was like 9 or something.

I've read other Emily Rodda titles as well, though I can't recall them.

I read all the books from the gems to the dragons. Completely epic series, loved every word of it. So today, seeing that there's an anime makes me super happy I finally get to see one of my favorite series turned into something else.

I've read all the books and they have great/awesome storylines and logic puzzles, and it delighted me there's an anime production of an awesome Australian book series! Go Emily Rodda, my fave character is Jasmine, but I wish the anime had the same watercolour drawings as the books originally did. The watercolour of the Deltora book artworks were FTW.

I've read the series when i started going to high school, and i just found them brilliant.
I've read some of the other books, and i should try looking for them again.

Have to say though, it's interesting to see how the anime has done up the characters compared to the original novels like how Jasmine looks like a girl instead of looking like a boy with long hair and how the creatures look when you read the Deltora's book of monsters.

But still, I was quite amazed when i heard it was turning into an anime - it was just plain cool
Everyone has a twisted side to them but it takes a few to let it out

Yeah. When I first heard about the books I thought they would be crap but after I read them I think they're great.
I'm kinda happy that an anime has been made from an Aussie book series. ^^
Although, it looks a lot more cute than I imagined everything, but still, I wanna see it!

I read them back in primary school.
Which is why I'm asking myself, isn't Lief's hair black?

I remember reading many people offered Emily Rodda movie adaptations but she denied them all.
However when anime was mentioned, she agreed happily, merely because her kids loved anime ROFL.

I heard it from somewhere that the author decided to make it into an anime due to her children and herself loving anime a lot.

I never had even heard of this series before, let alone the book it was based off of.

Like many, I am enjoying this anime so much, that it makes me want to check out the actual book as well.

I've read the first series (about gems) when i was 15, and loved it;
but by that time i had no Internet to watch any of anime. Once i happened to see in Wikipedia that there will be anime based on these books, and i thought "there is no way i can see it T_T"
so i grew up, moved to moscow and now i'm finally watching it! and it was surprisingly good, because i thought that all of my youth's likes are no good
but now i have another problem: no subs

i had no idea there were other series!! i wish i could read them all. no one is going to publish it in this country.

Emily Rodda and Paul Jennings were my favourite authors as a child! :D
All of Emily Rodda's book are amazing and Deltora Quest was my favourite.
Maybe it's because the books were too good but I kind of feel that the anime was a bit of a letdown. :/

According the my dad's Amazon account, the Deltora books were the first thing I ever ordered off the internet; I bought the first two from a bookshop, but they never had the others in stock. This was back in 2002. xP

I think I grew out of reading books for the 9-12 crowd before trying anything else by her though.
If any of my posts seem odd, it's probably because I'm tired. Sorry. I have sleeping issues.

I happened to buy the first book from a Scholastic book fair. I think I was 9 at the time. My mom got me the books 2 - 4. I never got to read the rest.

While I'm here MAL says that Deltora Quest is 65 episodes long. I can't find anything after 52?
