| Discuss. It was a pretty short volume and pretty much just a prologue for things to come. I like that Touma is thinking for a bit now even if he's still plunging himself head first in a fight. Thor seems like a cool guy even if his intentions are questionable. And Fraulein is a weird existence even in this world. And wanting to eat LO. Hide the loli quick! The big question now would be who is that unknown girl clinging in Touma's back in the prologue. The predictable answer would be Fraulein but that would be a bit obvious and lame. One more question would be where was Aleister all this time. The epilogue said "Welcome back Aleister". He was still present in NT2 when Birdway talked to him so he probably left somewhere in NT3 and 4. But what did he do. Questions, questions. Hope NT6 comes out earlier than this. 7 months was a long time. P.S. Where can I get that kit to assemble a loli like Cendrillon. P.P.S Touma being lazy in his catchphrase. IDTI, IDTI. Made me lol. P.P.P.S Js06 isn't human. Finishing the translation in two weeks. Crazy. |

| Oh God Fukiyose is back. I already forgot about her awhile ago but she’s here. Good to see Ollerus again as well too in the beginning of this volume. I think I remember Thor from the Hawaii Invasion arc but it’s nice to see him get a more decent role in this volume. What a cool kid btw despite being a member of Gremlin. He almost fooled me there by impersonating Misaka. I thought Touma should of known better at first but it was nice seeing him block that move. Also, it didn’t surprise me that he knew what to say considering the fact that he was observing the two of them in Hawaii. Despite the threat he poses, I find the conversation between him and Touma at that café to be very amusing. He just wants to have some food XD So this arc focuses on a woman named Fräulein Kreutune in the Windowless Building. That’s interesting since it’s considered to be impenetrable. I think the fact that she was able to break out of the building with Thor and Touma’s help was predictable though. Still, I didn’t think that she was able to hurt Thor so easily with some kind of unknown spell. Ah poor Touma, he was the victim yet he got arrested LOL. And Misaka meeting Tomoe at Touma’s school was also laughable imo. It was nice seeing Mugino too although her meeting with Cendrillion is just awkward. I mean, what the hell is she wearing? But seriously, that was the real Misaka wasn’t it? LMAO. Oh God, this is just gold. Anyways, it was a short volume but surprisingly funny despite the serious situation going on. I’m surprised to see someone that looks like Frenda meeting Mugino at the end though. Great volume this time around, a lot of stuff going around. Word of the day: friends. |

| Much like the 2-parter Daihasei arc, vol 5 really felt like a prologue of what's to come during this whole Ichihanaran festival (heck we see Index only during the prologue, which in actuality may happen after the shit ton of events that occured) Not to say it's bad, but I appreciate that everything's easily understood since the Baggage City arc needs quite an effort on the reader's part. Touma being overly cautious of everyone after the Birdway incident can be somewhat said of a "growth" for him and Thor is such a bro but he's such a cute boy REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE The Index series never gave me such a fit of laughter when these 2 lolis in the form of Fremea and Lost Order being lost in District 7 but ends up on a sketchy dinner trip xD Another interesting setup of events as usual from the epilogue, Kakine's basically a monster now and Fräulein Kreutune's a wildcard that can either be the best ally or the worst enemy depending on the circumstances. Also uhhhh.... Frenda's revived now wtf?! Probably Marian's doing |
