He can make you really care about a chatacter so swiftly and effortlessly, wut an amazing writer. However, the translation from manga to anime is a difficult one, especially wen it comes to timing and building tension, and I don't thnk this ep really ratchets up the tension very well. But with an ending like that, it's almost impossible not to make a good piece of film. |

| I expected the bomb to be shot out of the cannon but then Pell grabs it in the air to make it explode. Glad I was wrong though, this was much better. The King and Igaram spying on Vivi never gets old xD ...and that's reminds me, still waiting for Igaram to show up again. |

| Omg those last few minutes broke my heart :'( Pell! He's the most loyal guardian in the whole anime so far, omg I didn't saw him coming.... But wow that's the "best way to die, as a super loyal guardian (I guess?) but still soooo sad :( |

I guess this is one of the repercussions of adapting a manga into an anime. but damn Pell is amazing as a guard and man that flashback right before makes everything so much more sad. |

| Right I think this series is amazing and all BUT I find the time thing in this arc completely ridiculous. The last 3 episodes, 20 mins each, are all supposed to have taken place in the space of FIVE minutes come on I can only suspend my disbelief so much. I haven't read the manga but I'm going to assume they handle things better, and with a manga time is all relative. If they really wanted to drag on this much of the anime couldn't the writers have extended the time of the bomb going off a bit so it flows better? I mean Vivi looked at the clock with 15 seconds left, cries for a good 20 seconds, then Pell comes in with a long monologue THEN he finally grabs it and flies up pretty damn high before it then explodes. Surely they must have realised how silly it all was. |

| Couldn't really feel the impact with the way they handled it, but I still have a lot of respect for what Pell did. That was very noble. |

But hey, I guess it's better this way than have 50% of your show filled with crappy fillers. Yes, Bleach, I'm looking at you! |

I didn't care for Pell. But that's only because this arc has been dragged out so long that I've started skipping past scenes I find unimportant to the straw hat crew. Also, did anyone else think of a spirit bomb when the bomb went off? I was expected a red, fiery explosion, but instead it was a cool blue with no fire. |
