| According to ANN, the series title is Slayers Evolution-R and not Slayers Glory. From ANN: The title of the fifth television series based on Hajime Kanzaka and Rui Araizumi's Slayers fantasy comedy light novels was revealed as Slayers Evolution-R during an autograph session for the two novel creators. TV Tokyo's satellite and cable channel AT-X will carry the series. The official website of the fourth television series, Slayers Revolution (pictured at right), confirmed the news. More details will be revealed later on the website. In a looping video message that was played at the autograph session, Slayers voice actress and theme song singer Megumi Hayashibara indicated that she is working on many things before the new series, including new music. The autograph session was the first joint one held by Kanzaka and Araizumi in around ten years. Kanzaka had already indicated that Slayers Revolution was conceived as the first part of a storyline that will last half a year (with a break in between). The new series was officially confirmed in September by Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine. |

| I have to admit that I liked Slayers Glory better, but then again I liked Slayers Again! as well. Guess it can be agreed that at least this one makes sense. Maybe they'll keep the other titles for future seasons. |

Basically it's like Vampire Knight, and Vampire Knight Guilty. It's basically the same series, and the sequel takes place literally right after the first season, but due to anime being so fickle these days for ratings, they weren't sure it was going to survive 26 episodes, so they just did 13. Since it is a direct sequel, and will most likely be in the same boxset as Revolution, calling it Evolution-R makes the most sense. What bugs me is that they're calling this the fifth season. Well they're judging this based on the fact that the season has two parts, then technically it's actually the SIXTH season because the first season did the exact same thing as what this one is doing. |

That's why you always count a slayers series w/ 26 episodes. What I'm pointing is that Revolution+Evolution-R is equals to 1 whole story or arc or maybe "1 whole season" ........ IMO Slayers Try was more annoying because it had the most annoying in-between fillers of all time. Who remembers the Fish episode w/ Amelia? LOL ...... MY wish for Evolution-R is more Xellos! Let him accompany w/ Lina's group again, and maybe Sylphiel too! |

Revolution was pretty disappointing in terms of plot and the new characters. since it revolved around the situation of Pokota and Duclis, there was a tad too much angst in the 4th season. there was a ton of whining between the two of them that they proved to be quite irritating characters. it was still entertaining what with all the familiar antics of Lina and the gang. and of course Xellos was Xellos which made the season bearable. Wizer was also a surprise since he was like a cockroach at the beginning (he seemed indestructible after all the spells Lina launched, accidentally or intentionally, in his direction), but he grew on me as the series progressed (that scene where he was hitting on Lina as a ploy to capture her was Slayers comedy at its finest). I'm crossing my fingers the season 4.5, a.k.a. Evolution-R, will have less to no angst at all. |
