| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ----------------------------------------  The first half made me imagine just how actually good the anime would be if we subbed out Kakeru for Suguru. He has the better soccer talent and just gave a good mix of personality to the players around him as well as himself. The whole flashback with Araki was really good and probably my favorite part with Araki for the thirty episodes thus far. This arc is starting off well with what I would have as my dream team for Area no Kishi, Onimaru, Yusuke, Araki, Kakeru, Ryusuke...all it would need is just Mako and Kaoru. Cant wait for the match. |

| No!! You wrong with being good if they subbed out Kakeru, becuase there will be no growing if Suguru is in the play. Sure it would be an awesome match if Suguru was playing as main character, Kakeru haven't pass Suguru yet but that becuase Kakeru is still far ahead. Kakeru quit soccer quite early and Suguru both have talents and work hard. The only problem was that he didn't work hard and Suguru keep calling weak hearted all the time, it was true Kakeru didn't have so much confident before. He had talents but he didn't work as hard at him, so Kakeru is like a couple of years of being good. Now Suguru died and Kakeru recieve his heart, he got overflowed talents and do his best. It was really fun to see when Araki was part of U15 and he team with Suguru, now we know a little past history how it really went U-15 training camp. They did really underestimated him to being fat, but he still got an awesome ball control and accurary pass. He actually help Kakeru out to make him stay in the training camp. The title say "Area no Kishi" not " King of the Field " Kakeru practice with Nana at night. Next Episode: " World Cup Debut " He finally could wear blue uniform as he want before and finally accomplish his dream, I can guess that Kakeru will be striker later on. I don't think we will see him wearing number 10 soon. :D |

That may be true but as Blackbird said there would be no development at all then, since Suguru is already an exceptional player with hardly any room for improvement. Though It was funny to see Araki and Taeko's younger days, the close relationship he had with Suguru really helps him guide Kakeru the right way. Did anyone else think Araki's mother was quite pretty? o.o The new representative team look great~ looking forward to see how they play. Hopefully Kakeru will be able to really show what he can do and not have any interruptions from his brother. |
| Great episode. I loved the flashbacks with Araki. Makes me feel sad that Suguru's dead. :( Why do Seven and Kakeru practise after midnight? LOL Shouldn't they save their energy for tomorrow, when they actually play? xD Hope Kakeru gets to show off his plays to those coaches and impress them~ |

| waaah Araki's mother look so nice, I've already forgotten how she looked fat his gag with the ball and that bleeding was hilarious just like when that door suddenly hit Kakeru, poor Kakeru anyway there where nice Araki moments I love it to see Yusuke and Kakeru together, I think he's better than Kota as friend, just because I think Yusuke is awesome or Kakeru and Kaoru, I love that also, it's supercute |

| That was some nice flashback between Araki and Suguru. I still wonder why Takajo and Asuka werent selected... They are like in the same batch year as Araki... but nevermind. Cannot wait for the match. |

KnB, PoT, Tsubasa, HnP, Cross game, Major and many more. The problem is that the characters aren't developing in a pace that most audience want to. They grow so slow, mostly a reason use by authors to stall which is annoying. A lot of focus also go outside of the main character which in this case "his talented older brother". This is why this anime/manga aren't that popular or have high ratings than other sports manga/anime. |

Suguru is already one of the best out there, there is no improvement needed for him. Remember, he is able to go toe on toe with Leonardo Silva, who can go straight for PRO FOOTBALL at the age of 17. Kakeru is a better lead than Suguru, and Suguru is irreplaceable as a supporting character. |

| Araki's mother got slim and he got fat again, but this was a really bad time to get fat, I thought he wasn't going to pass the test because of his weight. Now Kakeru is going to play with the people who played with his brother, nice. |
