I didn't think it was cliché. The new girl is a pretty good character, that can have a great development. Not the usual strong and sexy shounen girl!

That is definitely not a cliché. In fact, just because his appearance is like the hulk doesn't put him on the same level as the hulk. Frankly, his ability and the Hulks are completely different and same with facial construction.

Same with the childhood friend, despite my dislike for her appearance, as Helderplus said she is not the strong, nor good-looking heroine which is definitely unique and could be handled well. Though I don't think the manga will last to give that possible chance.

Whilst one will mindlessly hate on chapters whether they're good or not, just because the first few were awful, I for one thought this chapter was good. The manga is undoubtfully improving.

Personally, I'm enjoying this manga. Sure, it seems typical shounen, but has its own unique charm. Hopefully there's enough fans in Japan to keep this manga going for a bit. I'm interested to see what kind of story will eventually develop if the author is given time to do something with it.

For me the Hulk is not a cliché or copy... it's a reference. I love references, so he got me with this chapter! =)

I thought the childhood friend is the one absorbing water since her name is Mizuho (Mizu=water).
