I read a lot of web-comics and one that I have been reading for many years is Schlock Mercenary by Howard Tayler. In the comic is a popular handbook in the Schlock Mercenary universe titled "The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries". So far, Mr Taylor has not listed all 70 of those maxims, but I found what he has listed over the years while looking for something else completely unrelated. Thought the folks that are in this club might get a kick out of some of them. I know that I do and I want bumper-sticker of some of them. I especially like Nos. 34 and 37.

The book's maxims are often quoted by Tagon (the CO of the mercenary troupe), as well as other characters. The following is a list of the maxims found in Schlock Mercenary, ordered by maxim number. The date given after each maxim is the date it first appeared in the strip.
