I think it would be fun to collect a list of all the musicians and albums referenced in the show.
I know has a jazz fan it was fun watching and knowing the history of artist and being able to smile at albums in the background shelves at Ri's

It'll be great for brand new fans of jazz as well!

Every episode title is a famous Jazz Song/composition, besides having the references to Bill Evans, Coltrane and the Vinyl Album Covers.

Kind of off-topic but just yesterday, some local Jazz Band was playing at a bar i went, the moment i steped in they started playing "Someday my prince will Come", Which was kind of awesome, they even had a trumpet guy, but they had a Cello instead of Contrabass plus a Viola.

Ahh. Has a violist myself I can always appreciate violas in jazz.

Speaking of the music, I would love to see the same people who did the sheet music for Cowboy Bebop did the same for this series. I want to play some of these arrangements!

The whole point of a jazz arrangement is improvisation. Playing someone else's arrangement from sheet music is totally missing the point =/ (and missing the swing)
I'm really happy this series is getting people into jazz. I honestly saw people posting about this on youtube on Bill Evans and Art Blakey videos and decided to watch it based on its having excellent taste in jazz and Watanabe/Kanno direction/music combo. It turned out even better than I expected.

There's nothing wrong with learning a few licks/lines from a jazz imrpov, but it's usually better to try to transcribe it yourself and make it your own.
Though learning an entire improvised performance just for recreational purposes isn't really worth it. It's better to learn to improv over the piece as it's more beneficial.

This thread is old so you've probably already started working on this a while ago lol. xD
