| So it was requested that we start a thread up where we can all discuss any dreams we've had with Higurashi themes in them. I mean, since we're all infected, we're gonna have that, right? I added the NSFW tag up there just so anybody who wants to recant a kinky dream doesn't have to feel self conscious about it. I for one won't hold it against you. Here, gesture of good faith--here's a big long dream I had about Higurashi some weeks ago--it just posessed me with the need to write it down as soon as I woke up. | Etou.. *Repeats herself* XD I had several dreams about being Rika-chama and dying over and over again. They went on for quite a while. I don't think I really settled down 'till I finished Kai. And, not a dream, but when I first watched Higurashi I woke up in the middle of the night, turned on the TV and saw Rena covered in blood in some kind of cardboard box. |
| Soo~~ my dream had Shion and Mion on either side of a K1 sandwich O.O I know right? But it was strange -_- they were in the happy fun times torture chamber. And K1 was all excited cause they were in next to nothing..and we all know how K1 is *remembers episode of Kai when he was immobilized by Rena’s charms* But oh no– the twins had something else in mind for our dear Keiichi. They chained him up on one of those things...you know the ones that stretch your arms and legs? Yes~ that! And proceeded to crank the chain back, stretching his limbs. *Cue the evil Shion cackle* After the ordeal was done they gave him a *reward* for surviving. I won’t go into details here, but we’ll say he got a happy ending -_- and then the next day at school Rika and Satoko were both staring at K1 and he got all paranoid so he questioned Mion. Turns out she had video taped it and showed everyone in the club as a “punishment game” type thing xDD and then he was walking outside and Rena was standing there with a crazed look. She was all like “Keichii-kun, where did you go last nigh? Kana?...kana?” And I saw this all from a third person perspective O.o it was funny actually ;3 |

| about higurashi huh..... so far, i only experienced three higurashi dreams, all involving Hanyuu.... unfortunately, the latest one is vague so i can't tell much about it.... i don't have the time atm to tell everything so to summarize everything: 1st Dream - i kissed Hanyuu (no, this is not Higurashi turned slice of life!) 2nd Dream - i consoled Hanyuu 3rd Dream - i can't remember except for the fact that Hanyuu and Rena were there.... |

| I wonder, Lucy--who's your favorite Higurashi character? It seems our dreams tend to focus around that--at least it seems that way for Spring and I. (I'm pretty sure yours is Hanyuu, ne, Spring?) I mean, one of us got to kiss Hanyuu, and the other...well...let's just say I enjoyed being Rena's little sister and tending to her issues *6_6*;; I don't remember all my dreams, but that one really stuck out in my head. It's neat that somebody else had a really vivid one, too. Can you blame Keiichi, though? I mean, he's what, the only conscious teenage male in pretty much the whole town? :p I keep getting 'sequels' of that dream where I was Rena's little sister, but where the first dream was happy and sweet with only one dark moment in it, they keep getting a bit darker. Most of them are just snippets now rather than entire dreams, but I had this one the other day where I was the same character (Misa) and I found myself standing in Rena's bedroom with her between the door and me. At first we were just having a pleasant conversation--I don't remember what I said, but it must have been something that set her off, because she suddenly got really angry ("Uso da" faced Rena) and slapped me. It was actually pretty scary, cause it knocked me off my feet, and I kept getting this feeling that I should just stay put and deal with it, or she might get worse. So I just stood up again and told her I didn't hold what she just did against her--I think that made her angrier, because then she flat out punched me in the face. Dreaming or not, I swear that stung a bit. Then she knelt down next to me and apparently snapped out of it, hugging me and telling me she was sorry over and over again. When we got to school, I had a black eye, and I kept telling people I fell. Everybody believed me except Keiichi, Satoko, Rika, and Mion, who kept giving Rena and I this....I dunno, sorrowful look? Rena didn't say anything at all the entire day, she just kept staring at her lap. Whooo...these things get pretty realistic sometimes. Don't mind me, I just think dreaming is a fascinating thing ^.^;;; |

| by the doc's suggestion, Lucy you're up for dissection again! more about our dreams.... my first dream revolves around Higurashi Daybreak. Hanyuu and I are a pair fighting against another pair (can't remember who are our opponents). If you are playing the game, you'll know that Hanyuu has the weakest defense of all, and possibly the hardest to use. That was also the case in my dream, and that's where I come in. She supports me with her time stop shots while I beat the hell out of our opponents. After a long time of endless fighting...errr, i mean playing, we won in the end. We were so tired so we decided to rest by the big tree (the map we where fighting in was the temple grounds). Before Hanyuu went to sleep, she hugged me then kissed me. END |

| Awww, that's sweet! An hug an' a kiss from Oyashirosama! Isn't dreaming fun? Great way to live vicariously through our favorite characters--I managed to get a kiss or two from Rena, but it was a sisterly thing given the character I was. She was always so sweet whenever she was apologizing ^.^ I tried to play daybreak once--I think I need to find a guide for the controls...I really wanna play it, but way too many button combos for me. I'm realllllly excited about the PSP release of it in November, since Cavia is doing it. Cavia did Fate/Tiger Colosseum and Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper, which are probably my favorite PSP games--so much fun, and the rulebooks are always chock full of katakana, so I can figure out the controls with no problems. Higurashi seems to be the same style of game, so....I'm psyched! |

| Ugh, if only I had dreams about Higurashi. I sleep like a rock (probably from the anesthesia after repeated maggot-removal operations). The only dreams relevant I have are frustrations that I cannot find a live torrent for Nekogorashi-Hen. It bugs me in my dreams. |

| It already did--I took a long nap when I got home from work >.>; They keep getting a little darker. You remember the scene in the Cursed Murder chapter where Mion, Rena, and Keiichi are walking home together? Keiichi asks about Satoshi, and Rena starts freaking out about how he didn't apologize for leaving Hinamizawa, and so he was claimed by the curse. Mion slaps her, and she just 'snaps' right out of it, says a cheery goodbye, and walks home. I was in that scene, but before Mion could slap Rena, I started petting her wrist and trying to calm her down--I think she took that as me disagreeing with her outburst. I walked home with her (I'm always Misa in these things it seems, heh), but once we got out of sight, she grabbed my wrist and gave me a cold stare. She asked me if I was trying to belittle Oyashirosama back there. It was scary, since I already know not to make fun of that around her. I pleaded that all I was just worried about her, but she dragged me by the wrist off the path and pulled me along until we got all the way to the top of the Furude shrine. Then she made me ask Oyashirosama for forgiveness. Considering Rena's always able to manhandle me like it was nothing in these dreams, I repented, and I meant it. Then, just like that, she snapped back to normal, hugged me, called me a good little sister, and we went home like nothing else was the matter. Nee is scary, but I love her anyway ;_; |

| omg your dreams are really becoming more higurashi like.... maybe a little more and someone will die.... who knows, maybe you're the one to kill everybody. i've seen higurashi a lot of times now and more often than not, your character is the type that is already suffering from the terminal stage and sooner or later, you'll snap, heh.... |

| Well, y'see, in the first dream (the one I felt the need to write that story on my profile about) I was infected by the end of it. I haven't felt the need to do anything violent in those dreams, but I feel really depressed for no apparent reason sometimes while I'm having them, heh. Maybe I'm just suicidal like Rena when she was in Ibaraki >.>;; I get stuff like that when my mind is focused on a particular story from a book, show, or game. The dreams about them don't come every night, but when they do, it's like a connected story, and sometimes I just finish them myself right after I wake up, because I'm still in that dreamy, mostly asleep phase---they still feel like dreams in that state, heh. (Don't worry, I'm safe to take home to mom and dad!) |

| Okay, had two Higuarashi dreams this very morning, one on top of the other. Both concerned the death of Teppei Houjou, one serious, one (ultimately) funny. In the first (which occurs immediately after the Cursed Murder chapter) Keichi is in a cell being interrogated by the police. He admits to killing Teppei, and launches into a long diatribe about his motive. "I did this not only for Satoko, but for society", was the gist of it "this wasn't a murder, but a purging. I'm helping to clean up the human race by getting rid of a pile of filth on legs." He goes on to say that he believes that people like Teppei are proof that humanity is de-evolving, and that by killing him, he was slowing the process. In the second, Keichi confronts Teppei in the streets. Teppei has Satoko in his grasp. Keich launches himself at Teppei, who swats him aside. Satoko slaps Teppei hard in the face; he picks her up again and is about to wail on her. Suddenly, a boot slams into Teppei's face and knocks him down. We see a large, muscular figure in combat fatigue pants and a red tank top, but can't make out his face due to shading over it. He unloads on Teppei with a series of roundhouse kicks, finally knocking him down again with a jumping straight kick to the head. He grabs Teppei by the neck and asks him to surrender. Teppei basically says "uncle" and the man breaks his neck. Pan to Keichi, who looks up at the figure and says "You!" We pan over to the good samaritan, and the sunlight finally shines on his face to reveal an animated version of...CHUCK NORRIS! Psychologically speaking, I guess both of these dreams were a way of finally attempting to get rid of a bunch of recurrent negative thoughts I've been having. An onset of them always seemed to be predicated by an image of Teppei in my head saying "I'm never going to let you go!" |

| Hmmm....okay, so about two nights ago, I had another Higurashi dream. Since I haven't been watching it lately, I wasn't expecting that, though, this one wasn't as upbeat as they usually are ^.^;; I actually was Rena in this dream, instead of just being around her. Apparently, I was in class at school taking an english test. At first everything was fine, but then I noticed that the answers to all the questions were written right below them. I thought that was odd for a test, so I asked the teacher if maybe I was misunderstanding what she wanted us to do. Apparently I wasn't, so I just filled in the blanks with what was already on the page. At the end of the test, there was a short story we were required to translate, and this was the really eerie part. Apparently, the story was about the Sonozaki family. It talked about how all of them have a desire to consume human flesh, and how Mion was actually charged with the task of finding fresh meat for them. There was a picture with it, consisting of random people without faces, greedily consuming entrails and such, while Mion stood in the background with a remorseful, embarassed look on her face. After class, I asked Mion about it. She got all weird on me and stated that the only reason I thought that way was because I was infected with Hinamizawa Syndrome, and the only way to cure me was a human sacrifice. Of course, I begged her not to do something like that on my account, and told her if that was really the case, I'd just live with it. She slammed me upside the head with a baseball bat and went off somewhere with her family. (I mean, that was such a hit, I swear that even in a dream, it hurt!) I woke up in a hospital with a bandage over one eye. The doctor told me that I was in perfect health, and I got upset, because of what Mion said. I insisted to him that I had Hinamizawa Syndrome, but apparently (in this dream, anyway) he had a way to test for that, and he insisted I was coming up negative. I remember having this horrible thought that maybe Mion sacrificed herself for my sake. All I remember after that was wandering around the hospital in a daze, with my hand over the bandage on my eye, asking if anybody had seen her. So uhm, yeah....that one kinda threw me, a bit ^.^;;; |

| That.....that really wasn't right. Spring has a point. I've been chronicling all my Higurashi dreams on my profile...they keep getting a little bit darker each time. Rena abuses me a lot more now (not that I wouldn't let her), and I actually felt something similar to being infected at one point. |
