Kian was elated to be able to enter an official school; he had been looking around the places near the institute. After his awakening two years ago, he had discovered by pure coincident that he is talented in Aikido. He remembered watching a gentleman of approximately sixty to seventy years of age practicing it, the flow of the movement captured his attention and he was observing him intensively.
The gentleman introduced himself as Deshawn and he invited the interested Kian into practice. And it caught the two of them by surprise that he’s talented in that field of martial arts. He smiled and asked Kian if he’d remember anything about Aikido before coming to the institute, to each no answer was provided. He probed no further and taught him everything he knew about the arts, Kian absorbed everything like a sponge and it doesn’t take long before there was nothing left to be taught.
“Go out, and search for a school. You have to find a place where you can unleash your capabilities and maximize your talents. Unfortunately I don’t have anything else I can teach you.” Deshawn spoke to the reluctant young man.
Heeding his words, Kian started his search in the city area. A school that teaches proper Aikido is hard to find but thanks to word-of-mouth, he’d managed to locate a school that teaches the arts in a traditional way. He managed to talk to the sensei and explained his condition without revealing too much about his background. The sensei appeared to be a nice man who he introduced himself as Osamu. He wasn’t bothered with his lack of training in an official doujou, agreeing to his request instantly—much to his surprise.
Kian was satisfied with the training that he’d received from the doujou, it had exceeded beyond his expectation plus it was good that he’d managed to spar with other people. He thanked the sensei and took a shower which leaves him more refreshed and happy. He smiled and bowed before promising that he will be returning next week.
On his way back to the institute, he stopped by a music store. Recalling that he had promised that he will return home with this CD of this particular band, he shrugged and entered the store. Music was blasting from speakers surrounding the store, subconsciously he frowned. He would never understand the greatness of rock music, finding them a strain on his ears. He grabbed the disc that he had promised and proceeded to make payment for it when the classical music department caught his attention. He looked at his watch and figured that it’s alright to spare a few minutes of his time to take a quick look at the collection. Making his way there, he noticed that human presence was sacred and there was just this woman browsing through the range of CDs.
Seeing the woman was blocking the discs that he was keen in, he spoke softly so as not to startle her. “Excuse me, I would like to access that.” He flashes a smile at her, hoping that she wouldn’t be mad. When Kian looked at her, he finds her pair of red eyes was somewhat familiar and captivating but could not figured out where he’d seen them before.
