I'm fairly satisfied with this episode. It was a good combination of action and plot development. More importantly it seems like a lot of the BS that has been dragging on for ever has concluded. Arin is out of the picture, Melon and Marin are working together and are getting past whatever hangups they were dicking around with, and the supporting cast has returned (for better or worse).

Alas, the willing suspension of disbelief is sort of shattered by Mike getting arrested for desertion and then immediately being made into a fighter jet pilot. So far this show has done a really good job of having a degree of realism in everything it's done, regardless of how much cutesy stuff it had, but this was just dumb.

Really clever how Marin transformed into Erin to reflect her gun, I had a feeling she was going to do that

Cliffhangers before the OP song is much better than cliffhangers for a new episode. Props to them.

Mike must have a copy of the episode script. How else could he possibly know what that monomakia was, the exact time to snag it, and how long he had before he could eject from that F4 Phantom? He needs a scene with that kid that eats a lot so they can compare notes.

Its cool Melan used the mirrors as a counter for Erin's beam technique. A sort of reasonable way to pull a win. Now, if only I could believe in the shipping of Marin and Melan. They make no sense as a couple. Even if Melan could technically be around Marin's age mentally, because we don't know how long he has been alive. Their relationship makes less sense than the end of Nadia: The secret of blue water.

This whole episode was fanservice without the sexuality. A lot of feel good moments that don't really care about how it negatively affects the plot. At least this show's fanservice is consistent.

The band is back together. Let's see who is next up for a tragic fate.
