| Hm maybe I was wrong about the bird, lol. She called Ildeung handsome...or does she mean it figuratively, as in, he has a handsome amount of money? Though I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in Korean, lol. This webtoon has a certain amount of subtlety to it, I think, with its visual presentation and choices; the black and white format when it's a webtoon, the flatness of the characters (portrayed as paper models), and the occasional appearance of 3D objects. But at the same time, it's not that subtle? The asphalt thing is a really interesting idea, but the author could've let us figured that out with the drawings he had as Ildeung sits in his room and thinks about the asphalt road he's on. |
