| Hehehe...this is a great story. A friend of my from college convinced me to go. Up untilthe I thought of it as just slapping down a raw fish and having at it. Well, I went with a group of people to a restaruant called Mikuini's. (bakabwoy, do you know of it?) I decided to be daring and order a roll with eel for my first go, and loved it. Now...here comes the good part of the story... Another guy went for his first time. I have no idea what he ordered, but when he got it, he looked around and saw the wasabi. He thought it was a lump of quacamole......and you can figure out what happened next. (He through the whole thing in his mouth). I kid you now when I say his droll was sizziling on the table...and everyone was rushing him water....lol |

| i was in high school and me and a few other friends were about to head off to japn for the exchange trip. the 3 of us went to kuni's [local sushi place] to get flare for sushi ..since at the time i was a full vegetarian i had the egg sushi [futo maki yum yum] plus other yummy stuff..while my friend nick ordered anything that sounded crazy to us at the time xD it was sooooo fking fun and yummy and ive been hooked ever since. ---now i do eat fish be/c sushi is so awesome ^.^ |

| I don't know... My grandma would make homestyle maki sushi roll back when I was very little... and my grandpa was also an avid sushi fan. Whenever he's taking family out to eat it's always a Japanese sushi restaurant. |
| I am extremely allergic to shellfish, so generally I kind of stay away from most kinds of sushi just to be absolutely safe. One of my clients loves it so I do have to handle it often though. The first time I had it though was at a home of a friend whose mother is Japanese. Not my favorite taste but I think just because it was so different to what I grew up with. I think its some of the most beautiful food in the world though! One thing I do like very much is sashimi. Client has fresh sashimi grade yellowfin from Japan flown in occasionally and he lets me taste it sometimes, very nice with wasabi and soya sauce! |
