the updates are coming slower, Maki and Aikawa's relationship seem to be at the final step, not to mention the "bride"/groom gimmick we had for the last couple of chapters
so my assumptions are quite understandable if you don't mind

Something can always tear them apart.
Or they can reveal Aikawa's true gender. Maybe he's a hermaphrodite; that would be quite something. Oh and, so long as everything works and is in working order, I'm totally cool with that.

I was thinking about that for a while. It's kinda heavy to introduce something like Aikawa being damaged during birth or such, but would certainly be interesting and all the more cute if Maki accepts that.

Hmm when we talk about hermaphroditic, are we saying that Aikawa has both distinguishable male and female genitalia, or is he lacking both?

Just like what somebody else mentioned in one of the earlier threads, maybe Aikawa has a Swyer syndrome-like condition. He'd be genetically XY, but because of the condition, he'd have a slightly feminine body due to lack of both male and female hormones.
