| A girl living with four boys at her aunt's, mandatory bathroom (naked)meeting included. Add a horny dream for the heroin. Great ! IAs soon as I saw the abandoned cat, I knew I already watched it. I had no idea of the japanese name and had totally forgotten the author. What a luck I can re-discover this series (uncensored/unlocalized). If only the DVD boxes were'nt so rare when they came out.. 4/5 @rafi160 24episodes are available with english subtitles illegâly online, the rest as raws. The full series is supposed to have been released by a deceased publisher in France but I never found more than the first box of 24eps to buy, and there is no DVD-rip that I'm aware of. |
| Finally I started Hiatari Ryoukou! Gotta say I'm instantly hooked. Mainly cause of the setup of the main character living with oddball roommates reminds me of Maison Ikkoku which was unexpected (also both male lead first name being Yuusaku). I thought Kasumi's name was Ryoko? The English title Sunny Ryoko is confusing. It should be 'What a Sunny Day' I guess? Anyways, other than the Maison Ikkoku comparison I'm a sucker for Adachi Mitsuru's slowburn goodness and I'm pleased with this. Female protagonist will probably be interesting. And I think this anime isn't sports-themed like most popular Adachi Mitsuru works so I'm curious to see how that'll work out. Lots of characters introduced in the first episode already. Gonna take a while to remember all the names. I rolled my eyes when I thought I was gonna see dense main character walk into a full bathroom only to be hit and called baka but after seeing what happened I was so surprised. Adachi Mitsuru work made me love love triangles and he's gonna make me like anime bath scenes like this? That's crazy. A lot of people don't like the samey artstyle all of the Adachi Mitsuru works tend to have. This show in particular has matching artstyle to Touch cause both are from the same era. I say artstyle but what I really mean is the character design. Kasumi's aunt Chigusa looks like Tatsuya's mom. Yusaku doesn't just look like Tatsuya he's also voiced by the exact same actor. Same with the Koutarou lookalike. Kasumi looks like Minami but with wider eyes. I don't really have complaints against this. In fact I actually prefer my anime characters looking familiar. I can't explain why. I don't understand why this anime isn't more popular. Cross Game and Touch are comparatively really popular. Slow Step and Miyuki are probably even less popular. |

| Bruh, the main character designs look exactly the same as Touch. While all of Adachi’s works have similar chara designs, with even the guy being unable to tell them apart lol (I personally don’t mind tho), it’s especially apparent here due to Minoru Maeda also handling the character designs for here as well. Anyways this seems like it will be fun. |
