| When I watched Gakuen Alice a few years back I was really into how the series had all sorts of dark, adult themes under the sugary sweet outer appearance. So I finally gave the manga a try and it is really great. It has enough dramatic turns (interrogation, hidden passageways, locked-up secrets, oh boy) balanced out by humor and Mikan's adorableness. I would have like to see them in animated form, but I suppose they had aimed for a young crowd and such things are not really appropriate. -sigh- |
