Kanako thinks Mariya is amazingly cute even though he's a guy.
Why doesn't she get all over Shizu? She's appeared many times and Kanako doesn't even try to get on it D;

also it'd seem a lot more normal to other people if they did get together since It appears to be a male and female couple while infact shizu is a girl.

i never saw the show but my freind whos seen the first season and is watching the 2nd said the show never gets serious at all so thats proboly why they dont end up together

Yeah. My point being: Shizu is his twin. Why can't she be her delusional self towards Shizu? She looks exactly like Mariya, but actually is a girl! She can like beg Mariya to introduce her; even though he probably won't, ask to go to their house to 'study', etc etc.

Albeit, I haven't finished season 2 yet. So, no spoilers please :p

Keep watching then, as this issue gets addressed later on. And if you know what went on in season 1, you should be able to put 2+2 together by that time.

As for her mistaking Mariya for a girl, it's the combination of him being very good at acting girly if he needs to, and Kanako's own yuri delusions. Of course, if he were ever to touch her, she'd be instantly reminded that he's a guy.
