| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was obviously meant to be a sort of recap/filler/info dump/calm before the storm episode. Which must mean that big things are gonna start happening afterwards. I look forward to it. And even though it was just a bridging episode, it still did a pretty job at being entertaining. One of the better ones I've seen. There were a few funny scenes during the episode that seemed like the series was making fun of itself. Like the part where Mikoto was about to activate the Final Fusion program, and she takes a second to sigh after she raises her hand. Also during the mock fighting, HyoRyu was spouting off the decreasing temperature of the shots fired from his freeze gun - the temperature dropped from -300 deg F to -400 deg F (I'm obviously watching the dub) in a span of about three seconds. I had to laugh. Watching the Japanese for that scene shows the decrease went from -150 deg C to -210 deg C. XD Looking forward to the next episodes. Note: Watching this series while I'm working out is a big motivator. I'm more determined to run faster and longer. :D |
| I thought it was a pretty entertaining filler ep. Mikoto pausing before smashing down on the glass/button was great, I like how self-aware the show was at that since a real person would probably end up with some serious damage from that repetition. |
