i personally dont like the characters' design that much but i just love the plot and storyline

The art and music are well combined in my opinion and the characters have a nice development in the anime, which I like. Plus that there are some yuri in it 8D

I like the yuri part of Simoun, too - though the whole gender-choice thing makes it kind of null.. Even Aaeru and Neviril are a yuri pair not so much by choice.. it just Happened in their lives.. Had they not gone to a 'better world' who knows, maybe Aaeru would have become a male for Neviril? ;((( Do not know if anyone will understand / support my thoughts..
Anyway, in Simoun I liked the combination of plot development + pleasant characters to look at + music. It's a little unusual and confusing anime at times, but generally it kind of captivates one's attention and makes you want to find out what will happen next.
