I wanted to dropped this manga, but I made it. It's not bad, but I was bored and at the same time interested in Werner's dead, I wish it wasn't a suicide. Juli a "Prist", most Catholics don't like gays, I don't think it's a smart choice. 6/10 not that bad.

I think the story was good as is. First of all, they never worked out because they were meant not to work out... and secondly, Juli, as I have understood, became a priest because it was of his love for Thomas, it was in Thomas' will, right? That he will remain in Juli's heart and mind, and since he is dead, there is nothing Juli could do but to meet Thomas in another simple way, by becoming a priest.

Overall I think it was lovely.

Another deep story by Hagio Moto. I can't help but feel sorry for Oscar, I wish I could read another story about his life following years.

The ending in my opinion was pretty lackluster, I think I get what Haigo was going for but that doesn't mean it was an ending I would've liked. Overall I really enjoyed this manga, it felt like I was reading a novel and I've never come across any other manga that feels just like this and it was quite the gripping read.

Check out Oyasumi Punpun. while it's not similar to Thomas No Shinzou, it has the same novelistic narrative.

I know where Hagio was kind of going with Juli becoming a priest, but like others said, it's not something I would have preferred. My understanding is that by Juli accepting "love," he's accepting God. Oscar had it right when he said they lost to Thomas, now Juli will always be thinking of him. I wish a little more was done for Oscar though. At least he and Eric, in the end, could be loved by their respective fathers.

This hurts. But it was kinda boring. But overall it was a good story. I just hated the ending. Wished all the pairings worked out ):
