I don't really know if this is a new term that someone coined recently, because I certainly have never heard of it before, much less been called it, until I reviewed this anime.

It seems that a lot of the people are trying to justify their high opinions of this anime by saying to anyone who criticizes it "oh, but you're just a comicfan".

While I respect the opinions others, and really you can love this anime to bits for all I care, I think we've stooped to a new low when we begin to label others based on their opinions, and incorrect labels at that.

Anyway, just throwing that out there.

Actually, what I am finding is, most of the people complaining aren't comicfans even. They're people who saw the Iron Man movie and are making comparisons between the Anime and live action movie, instead of the comics and the Anime. Quite a few of the comments that are positive have made it clear, the Anime mimics the comic well, and is even taking things they remember from it.

Of course, we have a few people who are rabid fans, you get that in any fandom (the few comicfans who are going off the wall here). But I find it disturbing that so many of the complaints were from people who only know the movie. It's bad when you have one person make a comment about how Robert Downey Jr. will see this, and how he won't like it. He didn't create Iron Man, he only played the role in the live action movie. He is not the go to man on Iron Man, Stan Lee is.

Now, I did see a lot of complaints over in the Wolverine one, and that is where I saw a lot of the throwing around off such comments. I think it has to do with the fact that many were upset with how Wolverine looked done up in Japanese Anime style. I personally can't remember my comments there at this time, but I do know that I felt some people should wait to judge. A few though, said they were excited about Iron Man, but sceptical about Wolverine. I actually expected more of a lashing out on the second, rather on this one from the comicfans, and I hold that as a correct surmise.
