The originals are horror games and only the modern ones are action games. Although the originals aren't really the scariest of games they still built up a creepy setting and atmosphere they had this claustrophobic feel and always having to ration out your ammo made you watch how much ammo you used. Then when they made RE4 they became action games. RE4 is an alright game but 5 and 6 are bastardizations of the entire franchise. If you want to experience why the originals are horror games play the remake of the first resident evil on the gamecube. Its the creepiest of the entire series in my opinion. |
I simply LOVE the Fatal Frame series! Fatal Frame 1 wasn't really all that scary... Fatal Frame 2 was much better in my opinion. I'm a little harder to scare, but it managed to get me a few times!! The falling lady at the stairs... omg haha. A game that isn't listed in the poll is pretty good too, which is Haunting Ground. Although, some may consider it Clock Tower 4. Its scary getting chased by a retarded gardener and a maid e.e |
| Fatal Frame, mighty scary Resident evil - yeah plenty of action Silent hill - some one change it from "hell to "hill Dead Space 3 - i'm surprised it's not included FEAR - Scary but not 1st rated, and good story though. |
