What were your thoughts on Masqerade?

Pretty much a good overall hentai.Although the ending was kind of creepy.

Wow this actually has an interesting story, 'interesting' here being an understatement by itself! Very rare indeed!

The whole hes doing it his ancestor just screams" yuck incest". But then I realized that as many generations that she is from the male lead she would not be related to him by blood. Then again she does look like his mother,so there is still the creepy factor

I'm not really that much into incest myself, this is categorized as hentai after all but even though the five-six generation gap (I think she said she's his grandmother's grandmother's grandmother on the last episode) between them they are still very much blood related as the dominant gene that's causing the mutation or that specific affliction in their family is still passed on their bloodline. I admit I'm being sentimental in spite of that taboo and perhaps I liked both of them because in the end, I wished for a very happy ending for both of his "Grandma" and him, not that vague ending with Jennifer and Ayumi. XP Oh well at least it was still a somewhat happy ending.
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Well, I enjoyed both series, esp. because they are so rare, and focus on aspects of creativity that we see in Photon a bit more than Tenchi but overall we don't see in the more well-known series.

I plan to re-watch them before I review them, though, because they are worth the time and it has been a while since then; I wonder if I will be as impressed after my experience has been so advanced.

I was asking myself why did i had this anime on my "to watch list".
So i guess i know now. I just noticed that i'm close to completely watch all of Masaki Kajishima's works (that are listed here on mal at least).

I was watching this anime without paying much attention at first- a small window in the background while i watched youtube ('cause i don't dig much hentais).

But i found out that this anime has not much hentai in it. It's more like a soft porn... anyway.

The main reason i'm commenting here is to say: What really got my attention to this anime was the Eding Song, which sounded very similiar to the theme song of the horror movie "Phenoma" (by Dario Argento).

Just the idea that this anime is a little inspired by Dario's work, was enough for me to like this =D

The track that i'm talking about -
The anime ending

I still feel that the history is unfinished (like almost everything i've watched from kajishima) And I still have no idea why the vampire needed a little drink of "Acqua Permanece" to gain his strenght back...

i will be watching the sequels now -- wish me luck D:

I will have to watch them again soon, I don't remember much about them offhand but from what I was reading, a lot of people were disappointed?

Either I just watched them as a marathon and didn't absorb much, or I didn't bother to take note at the ending... but in any case, I think the setup of the series was fairly unique so at some point I know I'll watch them again and this time take more careful note of it... wonder if its' based on some older folklore or something.
