Tousouchuu: Great Mission Episode 95 Discussion

This plot twist has somewhat redeemed this Enigma from being the weakest arc of the show. This is what I expected from a character like AI Da Vinci, to say she's the most interesting character so far wouldn't be an overstatement.

However, after being satisfied with the plot twist for a while, the preview of the next episode brought me down again. I'm waiting to see how the legendary monster would destroy the Moon Colonies while it was in the game world, when I heard that description of the preview, I felt ridiculous rather than excited.

Hopefully that monster is just a sub-boss, otherwise if it's possessed by AI Da Vinci to fight the players then the finale will probably be set up like the final battle of previous stages.

Also I mentioned this in previous episode topic but the preview of next also shown and hinted that Sawyer, Luna, Sigma, Penta, Mika and Kujo will be helped by the NPCs of the previous arcs which can be a bit pay off for Sawyer after saving the NPCs in previous arcs.

But it would be nice to their eliminated friends join in especially with so many hunters this time.

Having all the NPCs from the previous arcs gather together in the final battle is the kind of scenario I've been imagining since last year, so I'm not surprised that this scenario has come true. This has happened before in another anime called Eto Rangers.

I remember that show I seen it in high school. It’s been a while since I seen the previous arcs but if I had guess besides Owari, Time turtle, and Einstein we also will most likely also get Suzu(Shibuya), Max(London), Kite and Leila(Egypt), Carry(USA) and DuPont(Paris).

Luna is gonna be happy to see Owari again speaking Luna given opening where she confess her love to Sawyer is it possible the NPCs will be ones to tell her to be honest with her feelings with Sawyer if that’s the case.

I'm definitely glad to see Suzu again, since Shibuya arc only has 7 episodes so her screen time is not much.

I'm a bit skeptical about whether the Sawyer and Luna romance scene in the OP actually happened or not since it's clear so far that the scene where Hal disappeared in the OP was just a lie.

Well the Paris arc did had closes to a Luna confessing to Sawyer her love for him only to say it’s not important it was after Luna save Sawyer from the Plant Phantom plus 2 episodes later two episodes later they act as a couple on date to avoid the flying hunters so their’s still a chance.

Plus with Da Vinci trying to destroy the colonies now is time to Luna for tell Sawyer she loves him especially when biggest battle is about to happen.

I can see Kite and Leila be ones encourage Luna to so do as thank you for helping them.

Also you previously mentioned Sigma trying to take Enigma not happening however with Da Vinci trying to take over he would most try to take it in order to keep it from her.

It seems the mission was easy, but deceiving, first it looks difficult, but it was easy, nobody knows except Sigma solve it all. Come to think it, this mission is coincidentally similar to Indie game called Indigo Park, and the AI Mascot was a Raccoon too. Both of them wanted the park to be "Alive" again.

Also there's one minor mistake in your subtitles, you miswrote "Why would I do such a thing" suppose to be "Why would you do such a thing?" before Tanuki explain his motives and reason.

Since Lily and Sengoku were captured, Sigma was the only one left who could handle it.

Speaking of which, the anime only has 2 more episodes left but there's no sign of it delving into his past and true identity.

Your not wrong Sigma we the know about compared to other 6 main characters back stories and backgrounds.

Saywer: He grew up from grey area of A-7 and found Hal in his rocket and saved him and adopted him as his little brother.

Hal: Comes from Earth as the way for people on the moon to restore the Earth but his rocket crash from an attack which continuing where Sawyer’s story.

Luna: She grew up in the white area of A-7 from an overprotective father with an unlucky older sister Nagi and despite her rich upbringing she is kind hearted. Only thing I wish we learned more about her is her father and why he hasn’t stopped her from competing especially Luna is a top competitor and one of best female competitors you think he would he get involved right about now.

Morris: Also grew up in grey area and decided to sneak in to compete in Run for the money, got trained by Gustin and his war cry caused a rampage leading to war cries not being used until the London one which he didn’t participate because of a injury.

Rabbi: She was A-3 originally Gamemaster until Rozuki took over and was forced to worked in the mimes until her friends Parlo and Nel help her escape to A-7. Honestly wished we learned her life before she became game master.

Yukinojo: He grew up in grey area of A-3 and worked in mimes but unlike Sawyer who grew up a kind and helpful person Yukinojo grew up into a more bitter person and was recruited by Rozuki as his top man and wouldn’t be properly redeemed until Sawyer save him in Paris where after that he became an anti hero since.

Yeah other then being a phantom theif, helping the grey area and Micah wanting to scoop him we don’t know nothing about Sigma so unless his mask gets destroyed exposing his real identity Sigma really got short end on background and backstory of the 7 main characters.

Come to think of it, it was a waste for the anime staff to make a special recap episode when they could have used it to make an episode about the side stories of the characters before the Moon World Colony Championship took place, if they did that we would have had the chance to know more about Sigma's secret or Luna's family (they made a short video on Youtube to describe Luna's family).

Honestly those are ideas if a sequel happened we learn more about Sigma’s past and Luna and Nagi’s father makes his appearance probably be unsupportive on Luna and Sawyer being a couple at first if they ended up together akin to teacher, chicken farmer and her father from Hamtaro(remember that show).

Also their some characters people want see return Homie(magician girl) and Linsen(music conductor) for example.

The show isn’t perfect to be honest I enjoyed watching it and I admit I will miss it and it’s characters.

There are a lot of characters created but most of them are thrown away in a very wasteful way, definitely the biggest minus point of this anime so far.
