Do you think the author dropped the manga for good (like in the case of Nana) or do you think it will come back? Raise wa has been dropped already for a year and there's no news it will come back. What do you guys think?

idk but she must be busy with the anime, so I'm going to wait for her comeback. This title is successful it would be stupid of her to drop it

Indeed, there's some suspicion that the X source not saying the truth because there's no direct mentions from the mangaka herself but another X source instead.

Assuming it’s true, I get the sense this series makes the author too angry to want to work on it because of their frustration with the publisher. And unfortunately, emotional stressors can take a long time to heal from. It seems like they feel that they’re at at impasse with he publisher, and aren't hopeful it can be overcome. Time may change that, but who can say how long.

So it’s hard to say if they will return, and I think it depends on if they’re able to regain some joy working on this story again.

Also, I think the publishers need to apologize and return a lot of autonomy to them if they ever hope to reconcile. Imo, I’m kinda proud of the author for standing up for themselves, despite how sad it is that my favourite series is on hold because of it. The industry is unsustainable, and artists deserve some reform.

@samspot8r8s

If the problem is with the publishers and not the author not being given credit as the original author in the anime as I thought, then the publishers should give Konishi whatever she wants.
