Death Note and Dostoevsky

Hello everyone :)

I've finished reading Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" the other day, and while I was reading some chapters, it reminded me of Death Note (Light vs L) which was very interesting

In addition to that, the main character is a little bit similar to Light in some ways, and I was curious, has any of you read it and thought so too?

And also, and this might be a coincidence, since they both discuss similar concepts, but did Tsugumi Ohba mention being inspired in anyway by Dostoevsky's works?
