Uika slept together with Sakiko's costume?! huh? She was also ready to give everything to Sakiko. 😏
Ave Mujica is back, Muts is back. Nyamu was actually an MVP of this episode. It's quite unexpected for her to be the one who brought everyone back together.
Finally, new insert songs. This band can actually perform their music. lol.

I thought this episode would end with a good ending, until Sakiko's family issues strike again. 😐

okay okay

I don't know, ever since episode 9's ending. I feel like something is missing.

For today ep. I still don't get it, the reason behind why Sakiko suddenly decide to do Mujica again. Is it because she still trying to find the answer? just like what's written in Tomori's notebook?

I still don't know what's missing. Ever since watching this series. This is the first time I got distracted and try to open my phone.

Never thought that in this time I could get such a clear bait and switch from Bandori. I spent the whole week watching the next episode, waiting for Uka’s subplot to develop, but in the end it was a bonus for the overall story? Do I have to rush to watch MyGo to catch up? Because there are 2-3 more episodes, if I’m not confused.

@AkeZZZ I don’t know how this subplot will end in the finale of the show (and actually, will it end?), but it’s starting to resemble some obsession with a abandoned mother rather than a childhood best friend. This is not the first time that modern anime or manga has been portrayed in this way.

Who TF is HATSUNE MIKU

My brain is not braining anymore

I feel like this is just too good to be true, Saki still refuses to call Mortis as Mortis, is this even a good thing?
I feel really bad for Mortis, she just want to exist.. that part where she tried to get back Mutsumi, what happened? Did Mutsumi woke up? Did MutsuMortis became one? I NEED ANSWERS.
The old lady housekeeper kinda sus + Togawa old man knowing "Hatsune" and that Saki met "Uika" in her childhood vacation home... don't tell me they're somewhat related? (idk anymore)

A good lot of yuri fanservice with NyamuMortis and UiSaki too!

Still~ Glad to see we are so back to being a Band Anime!!! Back to Back New Songs I feel 'ALIVE' again!

@Aleksu I would rather call this ship bait than Fanervice, but the question is whether they will somehow finish it, or this is another Bandori's trick of "these two will never be a couple, but we want you to have a franchise with each other to maintain the relevance of the franchise." Mygo in a similar way teased the Taki x Tomori, but in the end they simply stopped at the Simping Best Friend phase.

Another so-packed episode again.
  • The reunited again, somehow. Thanks to Nyamu for her blatant speak-up to Sakiko, the girl finally remembers she has lives to carry on her shoulders! Wow, so poetic. Then, baam! They held a solo live immediately.
  • Mutsumi's back? Maybe? Maybe not? Uh oh.
  • So what is the actual relation between Sakiko and Uika? Lost siblings? Cousins? Aunt and her niece?
  • What is this show even about?

@chocomayu Why did you decide that they are relatives, and not just a promoted pairing by the show? One way or another, if you focus on the synopsis as a possible “key”, then it mentions love, but without any specifics.

They have returned in this episode, I didn't expect that and I thought it wouldn't be this fast. Did Sakiko decide this by force or did she have another intention, I'm definitely curious about that.

Well, after the chaos of the previous episode, one by one they started to have a stance to establish the return of Ave Mujica. And I know each of their conditions like Nyamu, she really only has Ave Mujica now, so do Umiri and Uika. That's why they are united with their goals and this happened so fast.

Even so, I still feel something strange after all this. And also added to that there is another case waiting for Uika, I definitely want to know what it is.

@RobertBobert Sakiko and Uika? I did thought they just another TakiTomo in AveMuji at first but there must be a reason why Sakiko's grandfather called Uika as "Hatsune" and told her to go back home.

@chocomayu That is, you’re suggesting that this is not just a local crazy version of Taki x Tomori, but another representation of real-life mental disorders where Uka is the lost relative of Sakiko, who for some reason ran away from home with a new identity to reconnect with her? I don’t know how much this is possible, but as you can see, it’s not just you or me, but other people who suspect that Uka’s subplot is still waiting to be disclosed.

I'm a little off with the pacing of this episode but heyyy the LIVE PERFORMANCE IS SO GOOD.

I love you so much Uika but I still don't know anything about you, only you yourself from ave mujica still unclear about yourself. Is Uika the twin of Hatsune Miku? or Hatsune Miku is Uika? why does Grandpa Sakiko call Uika by the name Hatsune? eagerly waiting for next week.

@NezuSwallowtail_ If it turns out that she is really a sister or cousin of Sakiko, then it will be even more one of the most loud Bait and Switch in my life, LMAO. But on the other hand, if she is really her relative, then why didn’t Sakiko recognize her? Why the're presented Uka to us as her childhood friend?

Saki was not really into it during the concert. If you think this "reunion" by Ave Mujica felt unsatisfactory, yes it was designed that way. Saki just compromised with her bandmates because majority of them wanted to.

Now with this whole Hatsune plotline beginning to get exposed from the graves of the past, it will gonna be the focus of the next 2 episodes, with episode 13, I would assume would be another concert episode.

Now I'm beginning to think, this reeks of a sequel.

tbh since episode 9 I have given up most of the Mujica characters, and episode 9 only feels disgusting to me, but this episode is actually quite fun.

All the members that doesn't give a damn about Sakiko when she is in lowest point of her life after the disband, is now asking her to reform the band again just because they wanted it now - basically most of them are just selfish.

Now look at the face of sakiko on the live and when Uika tell her those love words. Sakiko clearly don't give a damn about it and this is interesting to me for how it will go.

Does Sakiko reform the band for revenge like Soyo trying to end the band in episode 10? What are the punishments for all those selfish members?

Also it is really funny to see all mygo members escape in 40 seconds

@Hiiragi_Asuka If you think about it, Uka really looks like the obsessed stalker maniac from the Hollywood thrillers of the 80s or 90s. Only one scene is missing, where she suddenly goes crazy and attacks Sakiko with a kitchen knife. Moreover, we already had scenes with her, to put it mildly, violent imagination.

@kyo2004 This is really funny if you think. Especially considering that half of them seem to be canonically doesn't aware of the nature of their mental problems. However, somewhat it is normal for Japanese media, since in many animes almost the whole cast consists of characters with literally talking names like a bard named Bard. Komi-San even parodies this.

@Alex0714 Given the cliffhanger and a number of anxious hints in past episodes, it is clearly much deeper than just "Fangirl". At least I will be disappointed if, after all, they just leave her as local token Yandere and that's it.

I think from the visials (and someone commented above) that Mutsumi and Mortis merged/united into new role/persona which takes best of them both.

@Myetx I think that this clearly meant that she simply returned to her “real” personality. Since the idea of turning into a new person would be a very problematic message in the context of a character with a similar mental problem.

UPD. In an interview with the 9th episode, the director confirmed that Uka's subplot will indeed be developed in future episodes. No matter how it ends, at least they do not just tease.

My God.

I'm actually speechless.

Imprisoned XII is a beautiful song; it doesn't sound like the kind of song I'd expect from Ave Mujica, but maybe that's why it's special.

The part where Mortis takes the plunge to catch up to Mutsumi and the two embracing and accepting each other as they both fall into the endless void actually made me emotional.

Even though Ave Mujica seems to have returned, something just feels off especially with Sakiko.

I'm very excited for next week though as it seems like we'll finally uncover the mystery of Uika, or rather 'Hatsune'...

@RobertBobert The plot is still absurd and instead of seeing growth in the characters, all we see is a regression in them. Why does Sakiko agree to join Ave Mujica again? It is evident that she does not want to and that this only makes her suffer and make the same mistakes of the past and what to say about the other four members of Ave Mujica, they are simply selfish, manipulative, unreliable, they only seek their own happiness at the expense of others. That said, if this is premeditated by the director, there is no way that this will end with the band united, and at some point Sakiko will have to say enough! But we already know that this is not an original anime and that there is a real band behind it to promote, so I am very curious how they are going to give a "satisfactory ending" to this because I do not see it, the plot is a disaster. Greetings

@Hormigo It's pretty clear that Sakiko get guilt-tripped to revive the band. She only did it because what she get reminded of "promises" to other members when she created the band. Sakiko personally doesn't enjoy any seconds of it on that stage.

This episode is not Ave Mujica happy reunion, it's a super sad and uncomfortable one.

On Tomori's note that Sakiko read in this episode: "I must have made a mistake but I don't know the right answer so I keep looking for it" ....is what Sakiko choosing to do right now.

@Hormigo As already written above, this is not the final and not all conflicts are resolved. Not to mention the fact that this is clearly not the last season and it is unlikely that all the problems of the girls will be resolved right now. Besides the largest, of course. But I agree that the plot suffers very much from excessive drama and melodramatic. But this is another question.

@RobertBobert It is curious that you talk about "this is not the last season", I have read it to other people, when I read a few more than a week, to the director who Ave Mujica and Mygo It ends this season and there will be no more, that at most the story will continue in the game. @Hormigo These are primarily my assumptions. Since these two seasons are positioned as new generation in the franchise and how much we have received seasons before .... but yes, they may well continue to develop story through the game.

for me Uika went from really uninteresting to extremely infuriating
had similar feelings with Soyo at the start of MyGo, but as the episodes went by, as her true colors came out she became really complete as a character, now even if i dont particularly see her as my type of character, i cant deny she's far, far more complex and better as a character, even now in AM

but every character here is a mess, and with 3 episodes remaining no way in hell they even come to aproach a "final form" for their characters, well, they already fckd the "big emotional moment" some episodes ago with CRYCHIC, so i guess another flop is coming for the last spurt

Sakiko didn't enjoy any of those bits, it was done out of obligation and responsibility, i hope most people didn't miss this point, even Sakiko's VA tweeted about this. A band reunion that was born out of selfish desires of each members and Sakiko's bitter acceptance. The performances are absolutely amazing btw, im obsessed with the new songs.

I can get the direction of ave mujica being the opposite of Mygo, but it has issues with pacing. This is not something would feel complete with only 13 episodes. There's a lot of details in the story and new plot points that they showed. Yet this also means there's too questions left to answer within the last 3 episodes?

it wouldnt go that far to be "manipulative", but I would say the real reason can make Saki suffer probably go to Nyamu, other is quite decent.
this episode failed to extract the negative effect of the characters, if Saki keeps running then from what I said in the previous episode, she'll be more and more like her father so deep inside, she probably knows it, either you raise your hand to grab all of what is left or lets go of everything and you have nothing.
