Miracle or not (more like an extremely lucky chain of events), Šárka survived! She lost an eye, but she's alive. Wilhelm, on the other hand, died, but he remained a gallant knight to the end. No doubt about it.

Several years after the Battle of Lipany, Šárka saved her daughter's life and reunited with both her and Jan Hunyady (Johann ;p). Even though it's bittersweet, considering all the people who fell in the aforementioned battle, this happy ending fits well with the manga's overall tone.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dívčí Válka. Great characters, incredibly impressive historical accuracy (among the best in the manga world, in my opinion, and I'm very critical about this aspect when it comes to reading history-based stuff in general), combined with well-crafted historical fiction elements that blend well with the story without significantly contradicting the historical facts. Kouichi Ohnishi did a marvelous job. I tip my hat to him! :D
