Seriously, I don't think I've seen a more unintentionally confusing work of fiction since The Room by Tommy Wiseau. I feel like I'm reading a book, but someone else is holding it, flipping through it at a rapid pace, skipping some pages, and turning the book upside down every now and again.

Who are these characters? What is happening? There's a named villain that shows up, is killed off-screen after just 1 minute, and the plot just takes off in a completely different direction. Characters show up like they've been there all along but I don't know who these people are. Everyone's teleporting everywhere, time is skipping all over the place, weird things are happening and I can't even tell what is and what isn't a plot hole any more.

And the inconsistency in animation is jarring too. One moment is a visual feast, another is a Powerpoint presentation made purely out off Messenger stickers.

Is this some kind of a contemporary art project? I don't remember S1 being like this.

honestly, I see no problem with the animation but it's just that each episode of this season seems to revolve around different plots and conspiracies but each episode tied to another to form an overarching story...

when ppl asked the light novel readers if s2 was redeemable, i think all, included myself, said no. S1 skipped a lot of lore, and the contents of s2 relies a lot on said lore, vol 4 (ig the first 3 or 4 eps of this season) is basically seeing how events change since some of the ones that happen in act 1 were related to tinasha the witch.

@Daniel_cr99 Maybe that's it. They want people so confused and frustrated with the show. They are forced to pick the LN to figure it out.

I was barely able to piece things together. And that’s after 27 years of watching Magic related anime and cartoons. I’m getting a Time Paradox because of those orbs and now the timeline is trying to correct itself or merge hence why Oscar is going back to showing his love to Tinasha again, despite being a different version of the Oscar in Act 1. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s what I got from it so far.

I'm right there with u! I HAVE NOT been able to follow this season and it's so disappointing because the first season was nothing like this... it's like I'm watching a completely different show!

It’s probably just a you thing but I don’t know. I at least haven’t had any issues with this season so far.

@EBTW871 Judging by the replies before you it's clearly not just a me thing. Maybe we're just not high enough. I heard weed can help you make connections in the most confusing scenarios.
