Solo Leveling isn't an isekai. Also, Solo Leveling is a dime a dozen when it comes to manhwa and no where near one of the better written ones. But yes, isekai wise, at least, I do prefer the manhwa version of isekai over manga isekai.

I’ll watch the second season, but was not that impressed.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

It's not an isekai in the traditional sense, but it kind of is if you consider going to the dungeons that are in other worlds as isekai. Gigguk calls Solo Leveling a "isekai in disguise".

@Bourriche Of course isekai is trash... but it's entertaining trash, thus it's longevity. However, we will agree to disagree as Solo Leveling is mediocre, imo, and there are several better written manhwa. IMO. Also, Overlord is mediocre, at BEST and I've yet to see Yujo Senki, but I doubt it's much better. Again, my taste. And my opinion, you are free to have your own, but this is mine.
