I wish that Ryo Bakura (the good Bakura) played a much bigger role in the Pharaoh's Memories arc than he did

I think it is strange that Ryo Bakura wasn't that involved with the Pharoah's Memories arc considering that Yami Bakura was a main villain during that arc. I think it was a wasted opportunity for him to not be involved in that arc since it could have been the arc where he shrined.

Can’t agree more! They wasted Ryo's character in general. He had so much potential with just the fact that he was possessed by basically the main villain of the show.

I wondered if Kazuki Takahashi originally had much bigger plans for him for the final arc but was forced to reduce his role due to Takahashi being forced to rush the final arc while he was in the hospital.

Oh I didn’t even know about that. It would kind of explain Ryo's ending. But I wish we saw even more of him before the final arc and how he was dealing with Yami Bakura 'cause even if that was planed to be addressed, there was not a lot of build up for it, I think.

I could go either way. Bakura never really played much of a part in the show, and it would have been odd to show his dueling talent at the end.
