While the manga's art was great, the fight scenes were very unclear. I was basically skipping them because I couldn't tell what was happening.

I finished the manga a long time ago. But I still remember some panels and characters that I remember fondly. But if I have to point out a flaw, it's probably the finale. It went a bit too over the top with Kaneki basically becoming a Dragon. Either that or the emergences of throwaway characters in every arc that you know are there just to die.

I agree with this. I think the fight choreography is by far the weakest aspect of an otherwise fantastically well-drawn manga. Something to do with the Qinques and Kagunes being white voids on the page makes it unclear what is happening in most cases.

I won't call any of these a 'MAJOR' flow. But the fight scenes are very difficult to follow sometimes. Also l sometimes feel that the story has too many characters that appeared briefly earlier and they all ended up coming together near the end when we didn't remember them anymore (but maybe that was just a me issue).
I liked the ending. Our boy Kaneki deserves all the happiness in the world

Minor inconsistencies, could have better a greater or more vast range world building/exploration. Thats about it though

The first 60 or so chapters of Re. They were painfully boring, with uninteresting characters, amnesia as a stopping to the plot and it only became interesting again when Kaneki recovered his memory. The final arcs, as flawed as they could be, were way more fun and intriguing.

I loved the first two seasons before I read the manga.

Now.. The first season is okay even though the pacing is faster than flash.

I like the opening, but that's about it.

Tokyo Ghoul deserves a proper adaptation with over 100 episodes.

I forgot how many chapters it has total, but around 300 right? It needs 100 episodes minimum, 120 would be ideal.

My main two would be firstly they introduced way too many needless characters which in turn made a lot of others under utilized which just brought down the cast overall, to actually develop for the amount of characters introduced I honestly think the manga of re needed to be about double it’s length so about 30 volumes , the other issue is that the fights were not well choreographed at all honestly they where kinda hard to follow just looked like scribbles sometimes but some impact hits were wonderfully drawn though.

Tokyo Ghoul/Tokyo Ghoul:Re is one of my favorite manga of all time, I finished to read it two years ago and I absolutely loved it. However, I can agree on who says the ending is abridged, also because Ishida wanted to finish as fast as possible due to deadlines. I think it’s not a bad ending for the series itself, but of course it could’ve been better. At least, Kaneki finally got what he deserved: an happy ending

The beginning of RE bothered me a lot, it's a bit strange, you don't really understand what's going on, the transition between the parts wasn't nice. I wouldn't have thought about the fight scenes if I hadn't read it here, but they were also a problem that never changed in Tokyo Ghoul, the fights were wildly drawn and it was hard to keep track of what was going on.

Off the top of my head;
1) fight scenes have good art but the choreography really sucks, can't properly comprehend what's going on most of the time. 2) How death is handled in the story, it feels like the majority of characters who die come back later and this made the story feel hollow

I dropped the manga because I found the story boring when it did not follow Kaneki.
