This was just pure wholesome fun. I kept waiting on the twist for Torame to try to summon a monster for the girls to fight or go back into his ways, but nope, we just got an entire episode of the girls playing tag with him and clearing the hate out his heart. Beautiful.

After Iroha wasn’t able to save Fuku last week, freeing Torame from the prison of his hatred for humans was the perfect bounce back. Pretty emotional end to the episode when we find out that his actual body died out long ago, but in the end he’s finally at peace. All that pain and rage was fuelling his ability to walk the earth, but now that he’s got friends and can trust humans he can finally pass on.

I really like how this episode played with our expectations after how the Zakuro episode with Mayu went a few weeks ago. I thought Torame would just kinda start to see that humans ain’t all bad rather than actually fully accepting them and passing on. Gonna be interesting to see how Zakuro responds now that she’s alone with Gaou.

Satoru hesitating to join the group hug until Mayu gave him the nod is so cute lol. You know things aren’t complete without Iroha’s special person joining in!

Really good episode and we got a Mirai Days trailer during this episode. Very exciting year coming up for Precure and I can’t wait.

No Gaogaon anymore. Well, at least not in episodic way.

That close-up of Iroha after Otsuru invited Iroha to pay respect to Fuku-chan's memorial, was haunting.

In this episode happened what I thought would happen in January. Torame got purified. I hope in the end he will go to Niko Garden.

Group hug.

This is such a sad but also beautiful episode. This might be the best Precure in pandemic era (yes, we're still in it).

Picking wolves as the final villain is a very good decision.

Another sad episode but this time it's a bit wholesome!

Torame is purified!
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

All of the Niko animals (including the Kira animals) are back in Niko Garden. All that's left now is Gaou, and extinct species or not, he's going to pay for what he's done, and I don't exactly mean turning the animals into Garugaru/Gaogaon eggs, although there's that, too.

I don't think this episode played with anyone's expectations. One thing is certain: Torame didn't call the Pretty Cures out as I thought. In any case, he just needed to be reminded of what it was like to actually play with others, and that was what caused all his rage and hatred for humans to go away. So, Torame was in fact, another Japanese wolf, and what we saw was a ghost more or less. He was also a guardian statue that Gaou defiled with his (someone's) evil magic, and I'll bet Zakuro (or was that "Zankuro"?) is at least something similar.

In other words, it was all Gaou from the start...maybe. You see, I personally think that there's somebody else; someone who's been pulling the strings behind the scenes, and if this is the case, they're the one(s) the Pretty Cures may actually have to fight. Still, we'll have to wait and see...

At this point, there are at least 4-5 episodes left, and next week will be the Christmas episode. It does look as though Za(n?)kuro will be involved, but I'm not sure how...

And here I was thinking I was safe from crying from last episode then they do the perfect follow up, this was another beautiful episode reminding us of the terrible fate of extinction, what happened to Fuku-chan and that Iroha and Satoru are indeed a couple. The scene alone when Iroha was asked if she would like to visit Fuku-chan's grave was a 10/10 with that change of depth of field.

Even if they got all the animals back to Nico Garden, Gaoh could come back and do it again along with his followers. He could also use the animals from Animal Town, so it's not over yet!

I just hope this season won't end with a timeskip just to see Komugi's final moments...
