Best arc in Dragon Ball Super.

It's been more than six years since I've watched DBS, although I watched a few clips of it lately. I felt so nostalgic. Almost like I was a kid again. Back then, I enjoyed watching it more than any other show. So do feel free to correct me if I miss any arcs.

Personally, my favorite arc is Black Goku which spans from Episode 47-67. It was the best arc overall from Super, in my opinion. Tournament of Power comes mighty close, though.

Easily the Future Trunks Saga was easily the best arc of Super although I am personally not a fan of the series in general

For me BOG and ROF are Z movies. So going strictly by Super only content, it's obviously the highly flawed Goku Black Arc. If we count Broly and SuperHero then those movies are probably better.

easily the black saga has depth a well developed villain a somewhat complicated story But it has everything to be the best saga along with the manga that the manga is much better than the in the anime

Goku Black was the best because you feel the danger and the suspense and the menacing presence of Goku Black and Zamasu. It makes you scared for the characters and makes you wonder how they will get out of this one. It feels more like Dragon Ball Z than most Dragon Ball Super arcs and it feels like Dragon Ball than most arcs.

The Universe 6 tournament arc and it’s not even close. We got straightforward fights, creative matchups, and character moments that aren’t just there to sell toys or hype. It didn’t try to be the multiverse apocalypse or rewrite Dragon Ball history—it just gave us a damn good tournament.

Oh god! Ok, let’s speedrun this.

Movie remakes? Because nothing screams creative like rehashing plots we saw 12 and 9 years ago respectively. They didn’t expand on anything—just stretched it out like cheap bubblegum.

The Goku Black arc? Amazing concept, right? Except the story is held together by duct tape, retcons, and a wish on the Super Dragon Balls. ‘Oh, Zamasu stole Goku’s body! Oh wait, there’s ANOTHER Zamasu! Oh wait, They ruined Future Trunks and tried to fix it by having him spontaneously create a Spirit Sword because reasons!’ Yeah, no notes. Totally airtight writing there. And that’s not even covering half of the problems there! I’d be Debbie Downer to continue but oh no at least this arc had a saving grace, the next one did not.

The universe survival? the Tournament of Power. Where do I begin?

The stakes don’t feel real. Remember when Goku was “the Saiyan who came all the way from Earth for the sole purpose of beating you” or “the hope of the universe, the answer to all living things that cry out for peace”? Now he’s like, ‘Let’s have a tournament for fun and hope nobody dies!’

We all know Goku is the strongest—he beat Majin Buu, and that’s about as powerful as it gets. But instead of building on that, Toei and Toyotaro just scaled everyone to Super Saiyan Blue, and then made this one guy stronger than the entire roster. And the way Goku got taken out? He got offed by his own stolen move—a move designed to destroy evil—on a guy who’s literally a hero in his universe. Then they tried to distract us by giving Goku a shiny new transformation, only for it to be completely useless since he got eliminated anyway.

Goku usually comes through in clutch moments like this, but not here. At least Android 17 got, what, 5% more screen time?

Future and TOP are so damn good, I’ve gotta go with future though. The antagonist of the future arc were much more interesting and the fights were very fun too watch. TOP had great fights, but the antagonist didn’t feel as fun too watch.

The tournament is the best bro the feeling you were having while watching the fights is something I never felt.

Goku black was a great ark but doesn’t come close to the Tornament of power.
