Is it actually a school?

In the anime they wear a uniform and are in a school but you never once, so far in the first season anyways, see a member of staff or any teachers on the school. Where are the teachers? Not to mention that the schools covered in graffiti and they just let the schools most popular kid hijack the pa system whenever he wants. I watched the anime when it released and I could have just missed something but is this explained?

In the Wind Breaker World, school kids don't need teachers to teach them. They learn themselves.

Yes. It's a school. An all-boys school.

Most school in Anime don't make much sense in the first place. Some like WB even less, the most important thing is the school setting for me.

if the school setting is important to you im curious do you not like it because it's not really a school setting like it physically is but in every other way it's not

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it this was a good anime for me I'm just wondering if ur not gonna do anything with the school why even make it a school anime I feel like there's other ways this story could've been made if u didn't want to make it a school anime. like simply don't put it in a school lmao.

@Potato_06 For me to be a school Anime, first they should have a significance amount of time in the school and/or school-related activities aka when they use the name of the school for something related to school, this is also related to having the school tag or not, actually this Anime had the school tag removed for months until it was re-added. Second, the school being unrealistic like the things you say is not important, as long they have a school uniform and the school place is enough. Third, a lot of other Anime could be take place in other situation and nothing will change like Rentagf characters being hs-aged instead of college-aged. WB is just a gang-like school Anime.

idk I disagree. like your first point of they spend some time in the school which i guess is right but even though they spend it in the building it's not even school there's no schooling going on its equivalent to spending a day in an abandoned school building (which I feel would've made a better plot point than them acting like it's a school with no characteristics of a school). for your second point I don't have any problem with an unusual or unrealistic school for example classroom of the elite and assassination classroom. both wildly unrealistic but i wouldn't think for a moment they're a school anime cause they actually do school stuff. I'll concede the third point tho I think that is right but I also feel it's a weak point

Yes !! ...as far as in the anime world a big yes ...The setting and the school uniforms makes it more reasonable and thay are kind of independent boys who are meant to learn on their own .

I thought of this before, let's not just think too much about it, it's cool that they use a school setting to portray the anime instead of just an actual gang hangout like Shishitoren.

The point of a cartoon is that it doesn't need to make sense. There are no limits other than the imagination. It's not meant to be based on reality, so it doesn't need to be realistic.
