Is the Mc of this series good?

I want to get into the series but from what I have heard is that Allen is the typical I love everyone and want the good of all even enemies, the even enemies part is what concerns me the most as I have had enough of mcs sparring and not even hurting the enemies which have caused the death of many people and allies and friends it’s just trash and annoying to watch

So I want to know how he is, I’m not asking for a ruthless mc or someone that kills his enemies, at least I want to know that he whoop their butts then he can forgive them (even if it happens after some character development) at least he is not straight away forgives them.

he is one of shonen best protags
his personality is similar to tanjiro but then he changes due to the circumstances around and has some of the best character moments in shonen, he starts off as a typical shonen mc but he isn't ur typical shonen mc
catch up to the manga the best part isn't animated

Allen is one of the better protagonists out there. his enemy is millenium earl and noah family, not the akumas created by the earl - he's merciful towards the akumas since they're just human souls used for horrible acts and they're born from grief. he's also kind hearted, loyal and respectful towards other black cross members. he struggles with his own regrets.

one of the best stories I have read in manga and the anime adapts the parts that are in the manga well. Allen is a great MC and as other posts have said he is a layered character, can't describe much about him with out spoilers IMO.
