Guilty Crown is in my opinion one of the shining examples of classical anime tropes that either don’t make sense, or are cliche as hell. It’s why it’s one of my guilty pleasure anime.

i finished this anime out of anger, i hated all the characters, but i have a special hatred for the blonde guy. i wouldnt recommend this rubbish to anyone.

I mean hey at least you see how bad it is, in my opinion it doesn't get like BAD bad until like episode 7-8 and while the production is still great the story is just so poorly written I've never seen a series this poor in that department, its essentially a code geass bootleg, with Temu Evangelion characters. Trust me it gets even worse.

Just oof, it's definitely on the scale of things that are "so bad they're good". Unfortunately, I think a lot of elements of the production like the art direction and music were great. And I think there are ideas in the plot that could have worked under better writers. It reminds me of how I felt about Darling in the FranXX.
