What anime from the Fall 2024 season are you planning to watch?

I definitely haven't been keeping up with each anime season as much as I may like to, but I do still enjoy checking out what there is, and trying to get around to watching what I can. My initial thoughts for this season was that it seemed like there was simply a lot of sequels to series I hadn't really been watching, but as I looked more into I think there is still quite a few new series that may be quite entertaining.

Feel free to mention what you're interested in as well.

The series airing this season I will likely check out include:
  1. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 3rd Season (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3)
  2. Ao no Hako (Blue Box)
  3. Kami no Tou: Koubou-sen (Tower of God Season 2: Workshop Battle)
  4. Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka (365 Days to the Wedding)
  5. Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi (Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister)
  6. Raise wa Tanin ga Ii (Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii)
  7. Kimi wa Meido-sama. (You Are Ms. Servant.)
  8. Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite (Orb: On the Movements of the Earth)
  9. Dragon Ball Daima
  10. Beastars Final Season
  11. Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka V: Houjou no Megami-hen (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? 5th Season)

I haven't watched Re:Zero before, but it is one of those highly rated anime I've been meaning to watch, so this seems like a good time to finally check out the previous seasons so I can watch this new season.

Ao no Hako looks very much like something I'd have a lot of interest in, as I do very much like sports anime. The trailer did show off multiple sports a bit, but I believe the focus will be mostly on the main character playing badminton. The animation looked solid, which is always a good sign when it comes to sports anime.

Tower of God has been a very enjoyable webtoon for me, so it's always nice to see more of it adapted to anime. I actually didn't start reading it until after I watched the first season of the anime too.

Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka looks like a nice laid back romance anime to watch.

I've watched almost all Dragon Ball content besides a few of the newest movies, so I'll probably check out Dragon Ball Daima as well. I haven't liked some of the newer content as much for this series compared to the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, but it's still enjoyable enough that I keep watching.

I really didnt care for some parts of the previous season of Beastars, though it has still been decent overall. The first season was the best of it so far to me, but I am curious as to how it will end in this final season.

I haven't gone through the 4th season of DanMachi yet, but it is a series I wouldn't mind continuing to watch. I definitely don't think its particularly amazing, but still enjoyable enough that I've seen the first 3 seasons and the specials associated with them.

I'll also be continuing these anime still airing from last season:
  • Boku no Hero Academia 7th Season (My Hero Academia 7th Season)

I sitll need to catch up on Boku no Hero Academia, as I'm a couple seasons behind now.

Other anime I may check out based on ratings/reviews and what I feel like at the time include:
  • Dandadan
  • Uzumaki (Uzumaki: Spiral into Horror)
  • Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo (I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History)
  • Sayounara Ryuusei, Konnichiwa Jinsei (Good Bye, Dragon Life)
  • Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri 2nd Season (Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions Season 2)
  • Maou 2099 (Demon Lord 2099 / The Lord Of Immortals Blooming in The Abyss F.E. 2099)
  • Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru 2nd Season (As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World Season 2)
  • Yarinaoshi Reijou wa Ryuutei Heika wo Kouryakuchuu (The Do-Over Damsel Conquers The Dragon Emperor)
  • NegaPosi Angler (Negative Positive Angler)
  • Mecha-ude (TV) (Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms)
  • Ao no Miburo (Blue Miburo)
  • Mahoutsukai ni Narenakatta Onnanoko no Hanashi (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn't Be Magicians)
  • Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai (Let This Grieving Soul Retire)
  • Touhai: Ura Rate Mahjong Touhai Roku
  • Ya She (Silent House)
  • Jib-i Eopseo (No Home)
  • Hoshifuru Oukoku no Nina (Nina the Starry Bride)
  • Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen (Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga)
  • Ooi! Tonbo 2nd Season (Tonbo! Season 2)

I'm sure I won't get around to a lot of these, but I figured I'd at least mention some of the anime that drew my interest in some way.

Dandadan and Uzumaki both seem to delve into supernatural monsters. Dandadan seems maybe a little more on the comedic side and Uzumaki more on the purely horror side though. It being October and with Halloween coming up, maybe it would be fun to watch some horror anime, but I'm really not sure yet on either of these. They did look promising though, and are probably what I'm most likely to watch from the anime I'm uncertain on.

I'm interested in Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo, as I wouldn't mind watching another villainess anime. I am unsure though exactly how it's going to play out when the main character seems to want to be a villainess, but I guess that also makes me more interested in watching to discover how it plays out.

Sayounara Ryuusei, Konnichiwa Jinsei looked simple, but still interesting enough. I'm most curious as to how things like the main character formerly being a dragon will play out. It's what I'm most curious about, though I couldn't really tell from the synopsis or trailers what impact it will have.

Kamonohashi Ron was not as good as I hoped in the first season, but I'm still hopeful it will be better in the second season. The detective genre of the series drew me in, but honestly a lot of the deductions didn't feel as satisfying as other series of watched of similar nature.

Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru 2nd Season is a sequel to an anime I still haven't finished. I've seen 7 of the 12 episodes from the first season, but based on the fact I haven't finished it yet, is why I'm so unsure if I'm actually going to be interested enough to see this 2nd season too. I did like the premise of a character who could sort of see the potential in others, and use that to direct them to being there best self. However, it just didn't work out as well as I hoped when actually watching the anime.

Mecha-ude is some sort of co-habitation anime with a human fusing with some sort of alien that looks like a mechanical limb. Honestly I was going to dismiss this one, but the trailer looked appealing enough that I may end up checking it out.

I think I'm multiple seasons and/or movies behind on Ao no Exorcist, but it is something I may still try watching again.

I didn't watch the first season of Ooi! Tonbo when it came out a couple anime seasons ago, but it was something I had been considering even then. I still may consider checking it out the first season then this new season, as I do enjoy sports anime.

As far as movies/specials go:
  • Ore dake Level Up na Ken: ReAwakening (Solo Leveling: ReAwakening)
  • One Piece Fan Letter
  • Ganbatte Ikimasshoi (Give It All)

One Piece is great, so more One Piece content is nice.

The Solo Leveling movie I think is just a recap, that also includes a couple episodes from the next season.

I'm just gonna continue living under a rock and probably rewatch Stand Alone Complex this fall. However, I heard from one of my good friends that Dandadan is really sick, so if that helps you narrow it down there you go. Hideo Kojima also posted about it on his Twitter so it's probably a banger. :D

@the40thwriter Yeah it definitely looked solid in the trailers. Sometimes those sort of anime are a bit crazy and too much for me, but I think Dandadan looked solid, so I may be checking it out.
