Anime or manga

You only gave us one option here... XD.

Both are good... If you enjoy reading more, go for the manga. If you like watching animation more, anime isn't bad, go for it.

From personal experience, I read the manga first.

I saw the anime and read most of the manga. The anime is a lot diferent from the manga, I could say the anime is rather an alternative story than an adaptation honestly. I may need to watch it again, but I think the manga made more sence for me, the story how is narrated on the manga is better. But the anime is also wonderful. Kobato is a really loveable girl. Whatever you choose, if you also loved her, you will end up with both anime and manga. The anime is 24 episodes, but the manga isn't really long either.
