A fun movie!

We get FIVE live scenes in this ~65 minute movie, so the pace moves pretty quickly. It really feels more like an OVA that was sponsored by the Okinawa tourism board though.

I was worried about the shift in character design for the film, but for the most part it actually felt fine. I think a cool aspect of Nijigaku is how they can shift art styles so much across projects (app, TV series, movie) and still feel like it maintains its identity.

I like Emma a lot more after this movie too! I loved seeing her have relationships with girls outside of Karin.

This movie hasn't received any international release yet. It will be a big while for this movie to get a screening license somewhere else apart from Japan.
Currently, you need to watch it in Japan only.

My sweethearts are back! <3

Great movie. I liked the performances. They were very beautiful.

I'm glad Ten and Koito made up, after all. They are a cute duo. :3

Movie seems really well received despite the change in art style, a good chunk of the fanbase wasn't a fan of it when the first trailer dropped.

No overseas screening announced yet. I really hope they do get one before their next big concert.

@Gar_Logan LL definitely isn't new to getting Government sponsorship, so I wonder where the other parts of the Grand Prix will take place.

@nevergain honestly, you don't really notice the change in artstyle throughout the movie.

I wasn't a fan as well but I got to the movie and it looked just fine.

Also, excellent movie btw

As KanaShizu shipper, we're eating very well.
Kasumin was gremlin as always. my2cent, she will not perform in the next movie as well. lol.... well, 88 is still better than 98, at least.
Ten and Koito's story was touching. Sadly, I wish I could watch their performance.

Watched the movie. They had screenings in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
They cooked with the MVs, they were amazingly animated and directed.
Kasumi, despite not having an MV, received the most focus.
Really excited for part 2.
Can't wait for everyone else to finally see it at the end of January when the Blu-ray comes out.

Almost every frame of this movie was beautiful! I love it so much!

My favourite part of the movie is of course the song performances! I also really liked seeing Ayumu and Yuu being lovey-dovey with each other!

this was a fun time i took a bit getting used to the bocchi designs but it made up for how well animated and pretty everything looked felt even more of a CGDCT with the more moe simplistic art

overall "plot" was as inoffensive as you can get for a love live movie for the first part of the 3 chapters this was a 7.5 , all the songs were 10/10s gotta wait next year to see the other members

Very interesting idea!

I like the idea of having all of the idols going to separate districts to perform. Whether it's to perform, together or, seperately. The confliction Ayumu has helps build her character immensely.. showing she doesn't care about competition, and wants to sing songs for the people who respect her. Which makes it all the more interesting when Lanzu explains why she challenged her.

The background issue of some other school idols disbanding and getting motivation to get together was a bit of a cliche but I understand why they added it. I hope it isn't a trope to play out in every movie. It'll get old quickly.

Okay movie overall but i gotta say those simplistic character designs really brought the whole movie down for me, like i could barely even tell the characters apart and also they made the whole movie look really low budget.

It feels very in-character that Kasumi would be the only one to not get an MV in this, and in a way it kinda makes sense as she did get a special solo MV several years ago that no one else got.
