| So when the news came out about the fourth season it made me happy, but about this movie I'm also excited but what I demand for this movie is that it has a good villain and an ending that can or has a consequence in the end, because the first movie had a cool plot and interesting characters but the problem was the villain's ambition which was weak although I think it's cool to bring a character who appears in the future to have a plot in the plot for you to appreciate and good, and I want that in this movie that every situation that happens in the end brings consequences it may not even kill the character but that it brings consequences on their actions and that's what I want for this next movie. |

| The same thing will happen because this is the problem with Original content for this series. The previous movie not only had a weak villain but they nerfed the living sh*t out of Rimuru and he could have ended that fight with a single attack. This is the only chance for them to show Rimuru struggle against an unknown enemy because atp he's very inexperienced and is not a top tier which won't be the case after the next season. But the same thing will happen because the original content like OVA and movies are set during time skip so we should not expect much. This is just to make money to fund the anime and have the anime only fans enjoy new content while they wait for the manga to adapt the next volumes of LN which takes 2-2.5 years and they can't do anything about the anime for that period of time. As for what you said about consequences and characters that appear in the future, there probably won't be any consequences since that could break the main canon and if anything does happen it will happen to an original character which most people especially novel fans don't care about. So it's useless, the best thing they could do is explore the world and western countries and Improve the world building like they did with the previous movie. As for including future character, that is the main foundation of the OVA's and movies. Everything has been happening because of characters that haven't appeared in the anime yet and will in the next season and the new movie would probably do the same thing. |

| As far as I can tell, such movies are always a waste of time since thier targets are the "friends" of fan who ask them to come along to see how awsome the show is. And of course, the click bait (look up psychological manipulation and marketing strategies) is that how the "friends" will not be impressed yet the fan will persues them to pick up the LN or anime. Aka even if only 1 or 2 will pick up, that another "custumer". This is why we always see the same "level" of quality. This is why there are so many "it's not {name of the series}" because it's nothing more then a well organised set up, where they know very well fans, even if only once (due to quality) will still watch it. And just like this they make add reveniu profit. Just like this they ensure people are still buying without thinking (aka if they buy movie tickets for something they know it won't be so good, of course they will buy other products that has "brand" on it). And of course, everyone will still go exactly because we want to watch said movie. Anyways, I hope I made it clear why any kind of "expectations" dosen't work exactly because they aren't doing a "movie of the series" as much as another "what shall we use this time to get more profit? ah yes, a movie" |
