So I watched 2 episodes of nichijou and this is my type of humour fr, which is weird because I liked this a lot but thought that My Deer Friend Nokotan was not great. Does nichijou stay this good, or does it get funnier? Or does it get a bit boring after a while, because I really really want to like this show till the end, and I thought that hearing others opinions might help.

It stays great, and most of my favorite moments are in later episodes. They’re hilarious. If you already love it, you definitely won’t be disappointed :)

honestly, I think the first episodes are some of the weaker ones (which says alot).
Most of my favorite skits are in the latter half.
But if I could give you advice, I'd say to limit yourself to atmost 3 eps a day and don't binge the show.
Otherwise you'll get too used to the humor and it'll lose its charm.

Nokotan was trash, beacuse its humor was basically: "random = funny, but everything is related to deers in some way". A lot of people say nichijou's humor is random aswell, but I'd have to disagree. exagerated is a much more fitting word.

@PoisonedSandwich I anyway watch only 3 episodes of anime everyday (limited time and limited screen time), so I don’t think that would be a problem.

@PoisonedSandwich I wouldn’t say notokan was trash, it’s just that the comedy didn’t appeal to me. I think it’s because the context behind the jokes either wasn’t interesting or just wasn’t existent, which made it less funnier than it should have been. But ye, exaggerated is the word that fits the comedy I like.

I went in blind a while ago and it was one of the best things I've watched this year. It's charming and funny all the way through. Wish there was more.

Yes it stays just as good throughout, if not it gets funnier the longer it goes on. The jokes are not really repetitive and it stays original. Just take your time with the series and try not to speed through it because there is nothing else like it (except for city the animation which will come out next year made by the same people)

I’m on episode 6 now, principal vs deer was the best fight scene I’ve ever seen. I think I’m gonna stick with this anime for quite some time, might even pick up the manga, my bdays coming soon so maybe I could buy em.

Somebody could say "Nichijou came out recently" every year until the end of time and people would still be convinced it's within the newest season. The amount of key framing it does in the majority of episodes is insane.

Well specific anime certainly have impressive singular moments across a long runtime, Nichijou is giving you these scenes a ton within every other episode at the latest. And typically with still frame detail, which is just crazy.

Heavily look forward to City rivaling it.

Nice, even I’m looking forward to city, and I’m planning on buying the nichijou manga. I, however, found the episodes 7 and 8 to be a bit lacking compared to the earlier 6, it’s not gonna stay this way right?

When Nichijou has its pauses, you're in for something really good when the next banger scene shows up. Your patience is rewarded very well.
